Your best bet if you want the coaches to look at him, is to email the DB and RB coaches (Coach Fobbs for the RBs and Coaches Roberts and Wimberly for the DBs) and send them the video of this kid. Its late in the game for NSD but if they like what they see, they might give him a look still since the signing period goes for a couple months I think

I will mostly refrain. But he doesn't have break away speed. With his skill set will he help us go to the Playoffs and make a run for a national title? I have my doubts. Not being critical just saying.

Personal statement from his NCSA Profile ....
Joseph Hayman wrote:I am a 5'7, 165lb, 4.4 40yd speed runningback/defensive back from Brandywine, MD. I have 12 years of football experience; 8 years of club experience with the Forestville Falcons Boys & Girls Club and 4 years with Gwynn Park High School. I have started on Gwynn Park High School's junior varisty team as a freshman & varsity team as a sophomore, junior & senior (captain). I contributed to an 8-2 record for our team in 2010 & 2011 with playoff births in 2011 & 2012 with a 10-2 record. I am the conference leading rusher, k/p returner & scorer. I've maintained a 3.8 GPA or higher in all my years of school (4.0 1st Qtr 2012/2013 School Year). I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and the field. Ideally, I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of business or accounting. Financial assistance would be very important to me in the college selection process being that I have three siblings enrolled in high academic schools now. I would like to be in an athletic environment where I can make an immediate impact on the team. I am considering any level of opportunities offered.

Here is the coaching staff ( http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... 8&TeamID=9 ) page so you can find who you would need to contact. Purple does raise a fair point on his speed though. 4.4 is a good time but he doesnt look like he can get up to his top speed very quickly, which at the Division I level is very important, especially with all the teams that run spread and speed plays

4.4 is 4.4. Everybody has the same distance to get to top speed. If he got up to speed quicker, he would be faster than 4.4. I know all of this sounds obvious but if there's anything negative about a 4.4, then it's that it could have been faster.

Fair point LUconn...my thing is, is he an explosive player, which is something Coach Gill talked a lot about leading up to the first signing day. Defenses are faster in college so will he be able to separate himself from defenses (as a kick returner and/or RB) or not

Rice was 30lbs heavier, just as fast, and was noticed by enough recruiters to land at an FBS school. This Hayman kid is short and skinny (165lbs), plays on a good team in an area that is well recruited, and apparently doesn't have a single offer from anyone. Everyone could be wrong, it's happened before, but it's not likely. His best option may be to try and walk on at a school like LU or someone else in the FCS or lower levels.

He does sound like a good kid with a legit plan/approach for his future.
