Racist...wait, I thought that was a quote from bradyfan for a second.

Honestly, I never sent in a report for your post. There were about four above you that I sent in reports for.

how come I never got in trouble? Yet...

Oh well, I don't have anything personal against anyone. I just don't get along with folks who have no sense of humor.

The crazy thing about this discussion? Russell Wilson might end up having the best year of all the rookie QBs. I know it's just preseason, but he put up ridiculous preseason stats for a rookie picked in the third round. Leads all QBs in QB rating in the preseason, 36-of-56 passes for 464 yards, five touchdowns and one interception, while rushing for more than 100 yards during the preseason.

and beat out a guy who was brought in to be the starting QB (Matt Flynn) and was given a big money contract to boot.

And has a good RB to help him share responsibility, and plays for a head coach who has always been known as a players' coach.

I think Wilson's situation is as good or better than RG3's, and definitely better than Luck's - at least as far as the circumstances of being a rookie starter are concerned.

One fantasy draft model I'm seeing a lot of is waiting a few rounds and taking Michael Vick, then taking a flyer on a backup as an injury insurance policy. At first, I thought RG3 was the best rookie option for this, but now Wilson looks just as good if not better.

I drafted Luck in my primary league then picked up Wilson off waivers (drafted Roethlisberger as insurance policy in case Luck doesn't pan out). I'm not buying into RG3 having a better season than Luck like Yahoo is projecting. Actually plan on starting Wilson week 1 against Arizona, sure as heck not going to start Luck in his first real NFL game against the Bears defense!

I think both fit the systems they are in. I'm not sure RG3 would have done as well in Indy and vice versa.
Russel Wilson is the next Doug Flutie! :D
Ryan Tannenhill may be the biggest surprise.

And a nice job by Cousins filling in. As a Cowboys fan it pains me to say it, but the Skins are playing as well as anyone in the East right now.

Romo throws enough completions to the Redskins as it is. You can keep him.

Russell was eased in to the league with conservative play calling early on, but he really came on strong after a few weeks. A 100.0 QB rating (4th in the NFL), a 69.6 QBR (8th), 3118 yards, 64.1% completion percentage, 26 passing TDs (9th) to just 10 INTs, 489 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs. Wilson was one of only three QBs to play every game and throw 10 or fewer INTs with the other two being Brady and Flacco.

Sorry but RG3 still should win this. Better stats all around. The only reason Luck has that thrown for that many attempts is because there is no running game in Indy and he had to throw more due to 18 INTs. To me, it's not even close.

I think it should be a Co-MVP.
RGIII has made the Redskins relevant and he has created his own brand. However, last year the Redskins still had a shot at the playoffs late into the year
Luck has taken a team with arguably no head coach (although a GREAT story) a team that won 2 games the prior year and revamped their most of their roster into the Play-Offs. As noted before, without a running game.
Knowing what you know now, would you still draft the same player? I can't see Indy passing ( pardon the pun) on Luck nor the Skins passing on Luck if the Colts took RG3. Of course, Russell Wilson would probably go higher as would Cousins.
Either one deserves it so I hope they both share it.

Probably the most impressive thing to me about RGIII is his leadership. It was mentioned during the game last night that if they asked anybody in the Redskins locker room who the leader of the team is, without a doubt it is Robert. As a rookie, that is impressive, not only that he has assumed that role, but the entire team views him that way.

And also don't forget that the Colts O-line is practically a train wreck and the defense has done them zero favors as well.

Luck got sacked 41 times, 4th most in the NFL, and it's not like he is an immovable object who can't scramble, guy has 255 rushing yards on 62 attempts this year and five running TDs. That's the 8th most rushing yards, just four behind Rodgers for 7th. He's no RG3, Newton, Wilson, or Kaepernick when he runs the ball, but he's not some slow footed non-"athlete" like Brady either. I don't really understand ESPN's QBR, but Luck has the third best QBR on running plays, sitting behind only Newton (#1) and Wilson (#2).

Colts only team in the playoffs with a negative point differential and 10 non-playoff teams allowed fewer points than the Colts. This is the same team that gave up 41 to the Bears, 35 to the Jets, and 59 to the Patriots and only 14 of the points they gave up to those three teams came off special teams or defensive return TDs.

Both Texan QBs are proving to be the real deal. And I like Wilson quite a bit as well.

But easy with the Co-MVP talk, Haize. That's not even in the discussion.

Why isn't it? They could easily tie in voting.
