Since this board is filled with geniuses I'm assuming the answer would be widely know and talked about often. So why is it that when I go to a website that has college and university products they never have Liberty products available. For example, skinit.com, they have Ithica College, Pacific University, Stoney Brook, but not Liberty. All the normal giants plus some strange one's but no Liberty University. I find this quite often. Just curious why we haven't branched out in merchandise beyond Barnes and Noble on campus or Cracker Barrel across the street.

Right last name, wrong first name. Beej, you've got to learn that not everything goes through the top guy. The best person to talk to is Jamie Keys. She's our Licensing Coordinator.

Best get him at the Ath Marketing office that really isn't part of the athletic department :|

It would be cool to see a Liberty Flames rocking chair for sale outside of Cracker Barrel. As far as contacting Barnes on campus, I have several times, but usually just get a thanks for contacting us but we know what we are doing so go away.

And that about sums up just about everyone's attitude on Sport Marketing on the Mountain. Very few do know what they are doing and they aren't in on the decision making processes.

I'm sure there's alot more involved in getting people to market a variety of LU products. Maybe the costs are high although I would think the payback would be built in. Excluding online students which may or may not care about the sports programs there's got to be 200k to 250k LU alumni scattered across the country. Just seems to me that the Sports Marketing department (if there is one) is missing the boat. There's got to be 100k prospects out there to sell mercandise too.

If I can go to Lids.com and find a variety of hats for Lamar University (where in the world is Lamar University??) but only find ONE hat that only comes in a small size only something is wrong. I think the school is trying to take steps to move up the NCAA latter. (New stadiums, improved stadiums, new buses, etc) It would seem to me that they should also take steps to market the sports programs better through product promotion and availability beyond Campbell County. Atleast in the eastern US or southeast region. Seems to me that sports marketing would be equally as important in some cases which obviously goes beyond selling tee shirts and hats.

That would be ladder not latter but I'm no grammar Nazi. Suffice it to say that there have been several attempts to get the LU brand out there but it has always been shot down by those 'who know better'. Your points are 100% valid and have been made ad nauseum for years

So who ever is running this board, do a guy a favor....big favor....add spell check!!!! PLEASE! Thanks for the feedback. Maybe there's a great reason that LU doesn't want to promote its sports programs or brand outside of VA or Campbell Cty. Off the top of my head I can't think of why that would be but maybe there is. Wait! Maybe they want to insure large HC attendance along with home games??? Drive 7 hrs so you can see a game and buy a hat.

I think there missing the boat here.

I can't stand when people who have nothing to do with my job, or don't know enough about the processes I oversee send me countless emails questioning me on items I have little to no control over. That sentence is full of grammatical errors and comes across very raw. I don't mean it that way, but I'm way too lazy to edit it.

If you're interested in finding Liberty trinkets and odd crap LIKE LU BRANDED APRONS go to the Big South store. http://www.bigsouthstore.com/liberty_fans

And to think, a trip to Skinit.com looking for an Iphone skin for a Christmas gift started this psychological evaluation of my spelling and grammar issues. Do I have to fill out HIPPA forms and present my insurance card?

You guys could probably require a grammar and spelling test as a condition of membership on here, but that might exclude our fans in West Virginia and Arkansas.

Fair enough dickens...I got in the habit of not using the apostrophe. (See jcrew, you don't have to get all butthurt or defensive if someone points out an error)
Are we back?

Nice! Here is to hoping we can live bot free.
