You are not alone in this. Name one job he has had longer than 2 years let alone 4 or 8? He's competitive but now that he already 'won' he may not think there is anything else left to prove. I think he will get pounded in the last debate but can save face that he did well in this one.

Where are the FBI follow up on these treets? The media made a big deal of Ted Nugent saying something about out of control govt at the NRA conference and the FBI followed up. Will the media publish any of the FBI followups at all?

But they're Democrats so, nothing to see here. Move along...

Coming up next on MSDNC, how many poor minority children will Mitt Romney kill in his first day in office? You're watching the Rachel Madcow show.

Not that I want to race bait in any way... but there's a clear picture being provided there. I guess one could argue that the media outlets talking about this manufactured the story that way - but still.

Are we really trying to make a story about stupid things that people tweet? What a pointless outrage.

In more important election news, Obama has basically conceded FL, VA and NC. I've thought Romney was going to win those for a while now anyway, but he can now pull most of his resources out of those states and put them in OH, PA, WI, NH, etc. It seems like we're just watching Obama's support erode and wondering if they can slow it down enough until the election.

Well LUconn - not sure I'd call it 'worthless'. Particularly since the 'tweets' have increased in their number and vitriolic nature since Romney's support started growing and Obama's began waning. If that's not important to you then I'm sorry.

Your statements are correct. Obama conceded those states about 1 - 2 weeks ago supposedly. His 'firewall' is shrinking. The amazing thing is that he is down in the national polls by 2 - 6%, but is still hanging on to a lead in the electoral college based on individual state polls. This could be 2000 on steroids, which is precisely why the 'tweets' I cited are important in my opinion.

This is what we are fighting against. If Obama is elected - it will be because all of these people decided to show up for him to ensure they keep their government goodies.

Here is one of the reasons I've liked Romney. A mere 3 weeks ago the sky appeared to be falling everyone was saying 'Romney should do this' or 'Romney should do that'. But you never saw him or his staff panic. The polls were against him saying he was down big but the internals showed a much closer race.
Now that the polls are swinging in his favor and he has momentum. You don't see him gloating or coasting but persistently working hard. Nice steady leadership. It's good for a 'Change'
Do I believe the polls now? I don't know because I haven't looked into them. If polling companies are still using their models from a month ago then this race is going to end up a blow out for Romney. If the polling companies have tweaked their models towards a more traditional set of parameters then we are still in a tight race till the end.
Personally I still like the Dick Morris runaway train

You guys don't check Drudge as often as I thought, apparently.

The Secret Service is aware.

Actually, I included the link to that same article in my post. I think the point is that the Mainstream Media isn't carrying the story.

PH I just saw the Gallup Poll update on Drudge for this week and it shows Romney leading now 52 - 45...

For what it's worth I rarely traverse blogs. Not that I have anything against drudge but I have other things to do, even though it may not seem like it

I told my Democrat friends a year ago the whole war on women would fail. This is what happens when you constantly insult 51% of the electorate. I can only think about my life, women I know who voted for Obama who are so sick of them being portrayed as only caring about abortion and contraception. It's beyond insulting for them, and they will punish the Democrats at the polling place.

My bad, but I don't expect anyone to carry the story because it's really not one. Some people said some crazy things on the Internet. Full story at 11. Meh.

Yeah I don't see what the deal is. People say things. Sometimes it's dumb, sometimes it's clever, sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's mean, etc. Do you really want the Secret Service pouring resources into what @breeziedeeznuts said that one time during the debate?

They did it to Ted Nugent when he spoke out against Obama.

No I did not want that, but guess what. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Plus out of all those tweets it only take one nut to go off on the deep end.

But that's been Romney's position from day one. Besides, put the rhetoric aside, no high ranking politician will ever touch Roe v. Wade with a ten foot pole.

But, I can feel much better about a president who wants to restrict abortion, rather than one who willingly encourages it.

Second, lets be honest. Abortion is important, but it's not the main issue of this election.
