When they show these ads my thought is always, who had more power during the last 4 years to change the law? Romney the private citizen and former governer of Mass or Obama the president of the United States?

I really don't have a problem if you think dividends and capital gains should be taxed as ordinary income, I'm not sure I agree but whatever I can follow that logic. The piece that irritates me is that they want to act likes its Romney's fault he paid an effective tax rate of 14%. He followed the current law just like the rest of us do when we pay our taxes. If you don't like the current set up why rehire the guy that didn't do anything for four years to change it?

Will they be protesting? Ha.

I am finding it fascinating that a couple of election models are showing an Electoral College tie. THAT would be fun

How would it happen though? One of Maine's districts would have to go Republican.

What's ironic is this whole thing could come down to New Hampshire's four votes.

That's the model they are projecting. Maine and more importantly NH. They have Romney losing Ohio but winning Florida. I still think it will be a solid Romney win but it's fun to speculate

I think it's all about Ohio. I read somewhere that something like 20% of likely voters in OH had already voted in early voting and that Obama was up by a landslide. Obviously the early voting was always projected to favor him but the fact that so many had already voted I think is a killer. I can't find where I read that though so I'm trying to pretend it's wrong.

Nevada is not going red. All the Californians are invading.
So essentially they ruin the state of California with the way they vote. They change their location by moving to a different state. And then start to do it all over again. Sounds like a virus.

Early voting will never favor the Republicans. Before, the Democrats had only one day to bus as many people to the polls as possible. Now they have over a whole month. It's their dream come true...

I was unaware that they were already counting early votes. I was under the belief that all votes were not counted until Election Day. They can count the number of ballots but not who they were cast for.

Now for tonites debate
I am predicting an Obama victory. Not a drubbing like he got from Mitt but will be declared the winner.
Romney will get 2 or 3 curve balls from Obama and Crawley that will cause him to sputter
I will get sick of hearing 'Obama stemmed the tide' or 'Obama stopped the bleeding'
A good drinking game is Obamas uhhhh, ummm ahhhh or let me be clear
Romney will actually do better then expected. He is used to the sale. Bullet point, clips and bullet points, Obama is use to sermonizing. Which leads to the drinking game.

Yep. Mitts giving the President a 'Bless his heart' look as the President talks about small business and job creation

If someone says that Romney doesn't give specifics after tonites debate, they are nuts.
Obama has been much more personal in his attacks on Romney. I think that is going to hurt his 'favor ability' ratings which his only positive left
I think we are up to 5 xs now he's called Romney a liar.

First debate I have watched....

Half truths on both sides....they both still make me sick.

I really want to vote for Romney but I don't think I can with a clean conscious. When all you say is "The President didn't do (fill in the blank) and I won't do that" all without really saying what he plans on doing. Neither one of these guys has what it takes to truly lead.

I don't get how anybody can actually like either one of these guys...

PS random stats aren't facts. I can make up stats that fit my agenda on the fly too...

Romney just CRUSHED him on the 'I voted 4 you in 2008. Everything is more expensive. I don't have as much hope as I did then. Why should I vote for you in 2012?'

Yes I have no problem posting for myself....

POST. Romney is getting much more specific then Obama. Romney is just pointing out the Presidents record.
