I'm sticking to this. My prediction is Ryan gets cocky, being young and not as experienced as ol' Joe, and knowing what a goof Biden is. It's a recipe for over confidence. Joe may say stupid things and generally is a stupid guy, but he's been in politics a long long time. He's very experienced at debating and you know his handlers know how he's viewed. I guarantee he's been practicing non-stop for weeks. He's not going to look down and sad like Barry. He's not going to let Ryan cut him off. As long as he stays away from specifics and passes the body language test, he'll at worst come out of this with a tie.

Ryan could really lose with the American people if he comes across young and cocky. Even if he were to wipe the floor with Biden, if it is done in a smug/cocky/smarty pants way, people in today's culture will remember what he looks like more than the content of what he is saying.

With the protection of the media, Ryan will have to really be careful if he wants to win this debate, or at least stay even. I hope Ryan let's Joe be Joe. Ryan just needs to state the facts, smile, disagree, smile, and compliment Joe throughout the process, but making sure to paint a VERY different direction that the GOP are trying to take the country. By simply pointing out the past 4 years, and reminding people of what Obama and Joe promised in 2008, he should be able to continue to make clear to everyone what the differences are.

Sure, I think that's always a worry, but let's not mix up their personalities here. Biden is old and cocky, and thinks he's young and cocky. I don't know how you tame that. He was much like that with Palin 4 years ago, but was much more careful because she was a woman. Not this time.
From what I've seen, Ryan has always been very forceful but respectful, and I've never seen him act like a tool. I don't think it's his personality to do so.

I think he'll try to trap Biden with specifics, it'll be Biden's job to stay away from that and steer the debate towards rhetoric and big-picture. Oh, and lies. There'll be plenty of them tonight.

I think it's solidifying that Biden is all bluster and Ryan is.....boring

Not having specifics of loop holes closing is hurting Ryan

Biden's interrupting will hurt him.

I would like to hear Ryan bring up Taxmageddon
