yeah, pretty much...I am giving Layer another season to prove himself with his guys but if this upcoming season is much of the same we will have to look elsewhere. I like Layer though, so it kind of sucks to say that but it is the truth.

A better league to attract better recruits

Every team in that league will be attracting better recruits. I never follow this logic.

The logic works....doesnt mean you'll be any better than anyone else in the league...but does mean that everyone else in that league will have an advantage over teams in a lower level conference. Its more of a comparison of the level athlete the league IS able to recruit rather than the average talent level the league you have left recruits.

I see what you mean though if you were to compare it to where you currently are and the teams in your current league.

Better league = better chances at an NCAA Tournament. You think a 22-14 South Florida makes the Tournament as an at-large if they were in the Mid-America Confernce (remember, USF's NCAA Tournament run ended with a loss to MAC champion Ohio) instead of the Big East.

Yes, the standard runway length needed for a 757 is 6500 ft. Lynchburg's runway is 7100 feet.

I love that we have buses. I don't want to sound ungrateful or negative or whatever. Please know that.

With that being said, these things could've looked sooooo much better. There is way too much shadow around our logo. I know that whoever designed it did it so that the logo would pop off of the white but there's so much there that the logo blends in too much and looks blurry.

Rooster or BJ are going to crucify me for this post.

Nah, Just a matter of taste. You can dislike the shadow all you want. It may be just a bit too thick but I do like the overall look.

For us old hags this is back to the future. In my day LBC/LU had a fleet of used Trailways Eagles and a staff of full-time drivers transporting both athletic and ministry teams. They sold them off and started contracting for bus services sometime in the 80's. I think the cost of maintaining the aging vehicles was prohibative, and they couldn't afford to update the fleet.

I think the graphics are just missing a little something. Maybe our URL or phone number or social media info or something. It does look a little bare in some places though since its white.


At the end of the day though it doesnt matter if these were purple, its near impossible to complain about this. I think its huge for the university...its pretty much a driving billboard for hundreds of thousands of miles around the country. I wouldnt mind some shots from inside to see how they are outfitted. Maybe Richard Martin could get on here and share some.

I remember the day he and I were going to pick up a few prison busses for the fleet we had for the new transit system. Man, things have changed, and that wasnt long ago!

These busses look awesome in person. Saw them this weekend when I was at Homecoming. I was on one of the travel singing teams in the 80's that rode the old and well used Eagle busses. These are a great statement of how far Liberty has come financially and are also great mobile billboards. Glad to see them!
