Thank you. The sound problem has gotten bad.
was kinda suprised they just planted them on a big metal tower right in front of the FOC but I guess that was the best spot

I was up at the Snowflex checking out one of the red boxes there for work and could hear them testing the speakers at the stadium...you could probably hear it from Camp Hydaway

Welcome indeed!

We went through a pretty tough period where things got a bit chippy on here and Scorcho and Sly are trying to rein things in because people (myself chief among them) piled on people who sounded like they were trying to "start something". Stick around and get involved with the discussion.

the starting lineups need audio as well as separating them from offense, defense, and special teams instead of how it is done now. paging Kevin Keys. they do a great job, and this is just a request to help make the in game experience better.

I think back in 2002 or 2003 they actually introduced the starters for offense or defense by name and then the rest of the team came out to the fight song

I thought I would take 10 to express my thoughts surrounding the “Stadium Atmosphere” during this year’s annual trip with my Father & Brother to a Liberty home game. For those of you who care, read on, those who don’t enjoy your 10 min of free time!

As I attended the disappointing loss at Lehigh last year, it was a no brainer that this game would be chosen for this year’s annual trip from PA. Who wouldn’t want to see redemption for the missed field goal at the end of the game in 2011? I can honestly say the results of the game on Saturday, while disappointing, did not overshadow the amazing college football environment Liberty puts together.

Upon evaluating the overall game day experience, (team performance on a separate thread) anyone with a decade or more of Liberty football awareness has to be impressed at the level of dedication from both faculty and students to the program. I am in awe at the level of support from the students and the now, “it is what you do on Saturday’s,” attitude regarding game attendance. I can remember when a good Saturday afternoon Madden Tournament in the dorm was actually preferred vs. attending a game knowing what the outcome would be, besides freezing your *%&#$ off as well.

Now when I look across it brings a level of joy to see the students in lock step support. Thus, my positive evaluation from this years trip is not the fancy stadium upgrades or the “4QF” that was everywhere on Saturday. This years hats off award is for the amazing turn out and game day atmosphere that the Liberty Student brings to the table on game day.

Now to the negative critique; what in heaven’s name was up with the pre-game entry? As a fellow marching band member for one and only one football season, (getting pelted with marshmallows was enough to drive me away) it is all about timing. The band marches on the field, songs begin to play you bring out the “red coat” dude to do his thing but giving him enough time for the moment. I felt the entire thing was so rushed and out of place it was a comedy real. If you watch the tape closely, you will actually see him reach the 50 year line, and then begin his LU chant debacle the entire time jogging towards the end zone as he was running out of time.

In conclusion, I now understand those of you on here who have posted regarding your disappointment in the pre-game entry. It is not that I don’t like the idea; it just needs to be done correctly. I stood there watching the guy in the end zone waiting for the all clear to run out. He needs to go out there and be given enough time to get things going. He literally ran out and kept on running the entire length of the field. It was so bad that I was actually laughing at the guy. Thus, this concludes my 2012 annual Liberty home game critique. “IT’S ALL ABOUT TIMING!”

If you want to move up to FBS, perhaps Liberty should have a FBS opening. Granted much, much better than years before, but could be even better. There have been great ideas on this board as far as music and other areas. Does JB read flamesfan.com? It is so much more informative than the Wall Street Journal.

I thought for sure this was Toby Mac because it sounds just like him and is his type message, this is perfect for LU games since he's an alum and I think the message is perfect for LU....but sure enough its not him....either way thought it was good

Yep. It had Norfolk State and Lehigh on it instead of Gardner Webb.
