WR - No play makers with no speed. We have 3 star recruits who are not playing and we put walk-ons out there. Henderson, Pratt, and maybe Pederson were highly recruited. What is up with that.[/quote]
I must be missing something. I doubt if we'll see much better than the way Pat Kelley plays as a receiver- he is a play maker. Is the question why we don't have another out there with him or that he isn't as good as guys on the bench?
If you think the O-Line is as good as last year, you are wrong. Boyd being out has made a difference. Both lines seemed to be lacking after a couple of injuries sidelined guys that were real anchors.
We only have one problem- every time we T/O, the opponent scores- twice against Lehigh, three times against Montana.

PK is the most experienced, that doesnt make him the most explosive, he is what he is, a nice #2 but on this team he is expected to be the number 1. He makes catches going across the middle, he makes catches to move the chains but there is no GAME BREAKING type of catch (hitch make em miss) and to the house. There has been no one at the WR possition that I have seen do this, #17 Dutra reminds me basically of the same thing, and #83 because he he probably the fastest is used as the run em off guy and they may be doubling PK #17 sits em down, now like someone else stated earlier either peterson doesnt know plays or something is wrong with him not being able to get on the field.
DB's - other than KF i really havent seen to much out of this group and trust me im looking hard. They are giving up big third downs but also like somebody said gotta have a pass rush to help them out. TBH only person I think has impressed me has been #19 WA with the way they matched him up with the WR from NSU. He only had like one catch on the night. I know KF has the two ints in the endzone on 2pt conversions but as a DB you cant be afraid to gamble, be afraid to make a play, and sometimes there is some hesitancy to do that.
LB's - Bottom line other than #45 a tackling machine this unit has been hit hard with injuries and other reasons for not being a better unit on the field. That can all be resolved and to be honest Ii think in certain situations you could prolly bring #8 Vinson down and play WLB due to the fact that with the defense you played last year he was down there alot anyway.
DL - No consistent pass push period. #60 great motor a little undersized #16 only has one move and thats been the rip and then gets washed up field, looks like he is trying to get his Dwight Freeney on but hasnt been able to get his pad level down enough to turn the corner on the Offensive Tackle.
I love this stuff I could go on and on all day. this is a good football team and the one thing I will say is this from days of being in the locker room, when the light turns green everything the coaches have said in the past will click, all the remembering the close losses and how they lost will click and this team will roll, and I think all will be good again in the land of LU
