Rival WRs turned into Bible study buddies before transferring to LU

It would be natural to think Ryan Ferguson and Elliott Dutra, two Liberty football receivers who were teammates at NAIA Marian University in Indianapolis, would be friends. In fact, they describe themselves as brothers, now that their long road together is almost complete. It wasn’t always that way, though.


“We didn’t like each other at first. Not at all,” said Dutra, who attended Indianapolis Center Grove High. “Just from playing against each other in high school. Plain and simple. He didn’t like my attitude. I didn’t like his.”
