I am driving up from Northern Utah to Missoula on Friday night.

I'm from Ogden, UT to be exact. I attend some Weber State games on occaison, just to get my fix on some College Football. But I am not a Weber State fan, I am only a fan of the Flames.

Weber State will be playing your Grizzilies in a couple weeks. I've seen Montana play in Ogden before in the past. It's a pretty decent Big Sky rivalry isn't it? And you've got a pretty good large following of boisterous fans that come down to Ogden from Montana in my opinion for those away games.

I respect Montana; I just have hopes that Liberty will pull out an epic win.

I am excited to see my Flames in Missoula. See you all then. And thanks for your travel tips and help.

How will the high altitude affect our players? I read that Missoula is around 3200 ft. compare to Lynchburg at around 600 ft. Please correct me if I'm wrong with these numbers.

Some people are also more sensitive to altitude than others. Personally it never bothered me until I got to 10,000 feet when I lived in South America (mainly when I played pick-up soccer as part of a sports ministry), but I also have a friend from Ohio who told me running is difficult for her to adjust to at 2,000 feet here in western VA.

Also true. But at 3200, I wouldn't expect any issues, as physically fit as they are.

I remember in Cuzco, Peru (12,000 feet), we were singing a song in a local church. I realized by the end of the song I was out of breath. I kept trying to figure out why and then I realized it was just trying to adjust to the high altitude. But after a few days it goes away. I never got sick. Coca tea always helps, (which is legal there).

Sorry to go off topic :oldhag

The smoke will not factor...The smoke is being blown out and it's very nice here this week. The high altitude will most likely help your kicker. The ball will travel well . however the only time it might cause issues is late in the game. it can dehydrate you. It also will fatigue you quicker....but your players are extremely fit....but remember the griz shoot to run over 100 plays...should be very fast paced!!

our kicker doesn't need help. hes got the leg to boom it from 60 yrds out (hit a 63 yarder in hs, and a 49yd at wake forest) his accuracy just has a little ways to go before he can make those. and with the new kickoff rules it becomes almost a non factor in that situation anyway.

100 plays... what are you guys gonna go with a no huddle offense the whole game?

leaving out in the morning [thursday]. we will have a car out there not sure how big of one but should have room for 2 more if anyone needs a ride to the game and back to your hotel or airport. only thing is we will be hanging around till the players get on the bus. i won't have access to a computer till tomorrow evening [thursday]. don't know if anybody will need a ride or not, but to be fair i will give it to whom ever PM's me first for it. For those wondering about 100 plays...it is a no huddle most of the game and it was a win for our team qb was 83% over 214 yds and 2td 1 pick(pick was a catchable ball tipped to defender. Here is the box score. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=322450149 568 against a good FCS opponent was a surprise for a lot of fans for Trent Mckinney's first game.

Smoke should be a non-factor for the game. As far as altitude is concerned, it's all about the kid I think. I coached wrestling in Idaho for a couple of years and those kids were all in great shape but state championships were a couple thousand higher than where we were. Some kids would hit the wall and it didn't effect others.
