Its going to be interesting to see which of the two finally begins putting some distance with full pads going on this morning. Hudson, though it's minimal, does have game experience over Woodrum (as I said, though minimal). If Woodrum shows that he can adapt to the faster pace of the college game over high school, he may beat Hudson out for the week 1 nod.

I'll have more once I get the position previews rolling, but there's no guarantee that Jones even plays this year. Wagner told me he thought Jones could have benefited from redshirting last year and that it was unfortunate that he wasted that season. Mitch Hanson is the right tackle. I fully expect that to be the case on Sept. 1.

Oh, just so everybody knows my reasoning, when I start the position previews on the blog, probably tomorrow, I'll be saving quarterback for last. Nothing has changed since the spring, and the coaching staff won't have a great handle on how the battle is progressing until those two open practices late next week. No sense in writing about the QBs until there is a little more information available.

THis is just my stab at the starting lineup.

As for the WR situation, I included the third receiver in the starting lineup because they may go with three to start. with how Glover, Shells and Ryan showed in the spring, itll probably be pretty tight between those three for #2 receiver (PK I think personally was high on Glover as I noted in my spring outlook). I have a feeling you could see 5 guys in the complete rotation once we get to game week.

Thanks for the update on RT Chris. You think that Grant will get redshirted this year?

Go ahead and count Lunsford as the starting PK and Grant Bowden as the P... Watched Lunsford a few times in practice, and he is SOLID..shoudnt have much issues, unless he cannot adapt to the college atmosphere and pressure...

Chris, I know practices are closed but is there any way you can verify Demetrius Ward playing either end or LB? I know that somebody mentioned that he was moved to end in the spring

Sounds good to me then...that will change the battle for the other 3 end spots in the rotation I would think with him battling with Freeman, Stokes, a (to me at least) surprising Uzowihe and a couple others. Bah I think is pretty set at one end spot
