With just over 5 weeks until the season kicks off down in Winston-Salem, we continue our look at the 2012 edition of the Liberty Flames and finish looking at the boys in the backfield:

RB
Players Lost
None (Chase Barnett returned to RB)

Players Returning
Aldreakis Allen 120 Rush 612 Yds 8 TD
SirChauncey Holloway 53 Rush 294 Yds 4 TD
Desmond Rice 35 Rush 158 Yds 2 TD
Korrey Davis 11 Rush 34 Yds 1 TD
Andrell Morrison (no 2011 stats, transferred from Dean College in MA)

Players Incoming:
Kendrick Couamin 6-2 225 Lbs Pines, FL (Everglades HS)
D.J. Abnar 5-10 185 Lbs Lincoln HS (Tallahassee, FL)

Aldreakis Allen and SirChauncey Holloway were the primary workhorses in the backfield last year, combining for just over 900 yards and 12 TDs. AA will probably start at RB but look for Holloway as well as Des Rice to get carries. D.J. Abnar could surprise some people as well. Couamin, the brother of freshman TE Kendall, probably will be redshirted and Korrey Davis, after coming in from UMass a couple seasons ago, could be the odd man out, which would be an unfortunate way to see the Heritage High product go out.

Players Returning:

Matthew Baptiste No 2011 Stats
Nicky Fualaau- No 2011 Stats (Redshirt)

Fullback was a largely underutilized position as far as the running game went the last few seasons (except to plow a path for AA or SCH). Baptiste, who converted from LB following 2011 and Fualaau, a walkon, will look to be the pathfinder for the running game, but do not be surprised if they get any touches under the new system with Dennis Wagner.
