It's why I rarely look at anything that could be a little bit political. I stay away from most threads because they're just retarded.
You say retarded... I say entertaining. Tomato - tomAto..

Kind of like returning the favor ...

Yes, politics are annoying and exhausting blah blah blah. I agree, but at some point you figure out that it affects almost every aspect of your life, whether you're paying attention or not.

What was the immediate reaction to this whole tragedy? GUNS!! OH MY GOSH, GUNS!!!!

So what do you think this will be about? Sure, decide not to participate in the discussion, like I'm trying to do also, but don't blast other people for doing it. This type of stuff is actually really really important.

I think it's odd when we excuse George Step on all of us and David Ross for what they blantantly attempted to do. Some on our side should know better than to go "oh well we do it too." if you're going to show me, show me where? He was a member of Occupy.

I agree ALumnus.

It irritates me to no end when we play right into the left's hands every time. When it's one of our guys, they go nuts about how all Republicans want to kill people. When it's one of theirs, they tell us not to politicize it. And we fall for it EVERY time.

This is where the problem is. This is a prime example of when it's no longer about political ideas being discussed but all about the game.

THEY DO IT! SO WE SHOULD TOO! Except when "they" did it, we complained to no end. And now that "we" did it, they're complaining. And then we say, you can't complain! you did it before. And then they say, well when we did it, you guys complained! repeat to infinity.

This is not politics. It's the preteen drama game that politics turns into.

:clapping

It doesn't help that there are folks here who dehumanize those they disagree with by always referring to them as labels (the left, liberals, etc.) instead of image bearers of God whom they disagree with. This should be a thread about the tragedy that happened in Colorado and the healing that is needed. Instead, the same two posters who will sink to any level to turn a discussion into a one-sided political debate have done so. That's why they're on my ignore list.

which is why I hate politics and generally avoid any form of political discussion...because that is generally what it devolves into

I guess some people are blind to the truth.

When arguing with fools, don't answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are.

It is a terrible tragedy and another tragedy of this is that we will waste millions of tax payers dollars and time for this guy to claim insanity . This will drag out for a year. Bottom line this guy is evil and needs to pay the penalty..my solution find the nearest tree and let him pay his debt to society.

+1 for your solution.

If he claims insanity he has an awful lawyer. Too much pre planning went into this to claim insanity. If he has a smart lawyer he will plead guilty in an attempt to avoid the death penalty. If he just did this out of nowhere without all the planning the insanity would be a likely outcome, but that is clearly not the case here.

Yes. So sick of this forced binary culture business. It's dumb.

It unfortunately has become political whether we want it to be or not. It has become about sensationalism whether we like it or not. ABC News should be ashamed of themselves. Not only do they have the Ross item, but apparently they took mom out of context as well. When she responded 'Yes you have the right person' it was to a question asking her if she had a son in Aurora CO, NOT about a shooting. It's not politics, it's sensationalism. When ABC news makes those 2 huge blunders it is they who make it political.
On a side note I really like the way both campaigns are handling the situation. Although, I feel Romney's is more sincere, but that is just me.

Some do. I don't. Just like another thread. This is about the evil man. Not politics. Not agendas. Just proof that there is evil in this world.

lol what???? I mean I'm a right leaning libertarian... did I just dehumanize myself?

This event wasn't political until George and Ross made it. Just like when Lopez and Dupnick made Tucson political.

I'm not sure what your question is. I meant exactly what I said. I thought I said it pretty plainly. I don't like how everyone and everything must be labeled as either conservative or liberal. I know it doesn't matter whether I like it or not. I know it's going to to continue to happen, and I will continue to find it to be dumb and frustrating.
