I've never heard any conservative media blame the liberals for Tucson. Contrast that to what the Democrats did, first, Linda Lopez called the Tucson shooter "an Afghan War Veteran", and of course by the end of the day it was blamed on Sarah Palin. Now what do you think the Democrats meant to imply? They got busted doing it before, and they clearly tried again yesterday.

This guy was a member of Occupy. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it, but if that's the game the left wants to play, then let's play ball.
Selective hearing I guess...Conservative media is just as bad. Don't kid yourself

Well stuff like IJ Review, yeah. But they don't have a broadcast license to your TV set. ABC does and they were caught once again.

I wasn't simply talking about media outlets either when I was talking about people using tragedies to advance their political ideals. The media does it, politicians do it, pastors do it, everyday people do it on their facebook/twitter pages. Conservative and Liberal. Both sides are just as bad and to try to say some kind of broadcast license makes it somehow worse is simply a cop out.

This is a tragedy and it sickens me when people use these thing in order push their political ideals on someone. I couldn't care less if its a liberal agenda or a conservative agenda. It is plain wrong. And then simply saying, "well liberals are worse then conservatives" doesn't change anything.

A lot of FB friends are posting this blog by a Christian mother who was in the theater with two of her teenage daughters:
So you STILL think God is a merciful God?!
(Maybe, just maybe God spared my life because He loves YOU and wants you to hear this..He wants you to believe that He loved you so much He gave His only begotten Son that if you would believe in Him you would have eternal life.)

“So, you still believe in a merciful God?” Some of the comments online are genuinely inquisitive, others are contemptuous in nature. Regardless of the motive behind the question, I will respond the same way.

Yes.
Yes, I do indeed.
Absolutely, positively, unequivocally.

Let’s get something straight: the theater shooting was an evil, horrendous act done by a man controlled by evil. God did not take a gun and pull the trigger in a crowded theater. He didn’t even suggest it. A man did.

In His sovereignty, God made man in His image with the ability to choose good and evil.

Unfortunately, sometimes man chooses evil.

I was there in theater 9 at midnight...

Awesome words! One could argue that she is capitalizing on the massacre in order to advance her ideals. In her case, I have no problem with that. The difference? God put her in place to testify of Him!

What a great read. Thank you, Cider, for sharing.

Wow, once again, I am happy to see you like using a tragedy for a political zing...
I actually thought it was mildly clever.

Yeah, cause I chose not to let some random event, the size of which happens every night in Chicago (which nobody seems to care about,) I'm not going to let it control my life.

Actually theDemocrats Pre-empitvely used this movie for political purposes. One of the bad guys is Bane, which they used to tie Romneys Bain ( or Bain and Bane I get confused) as evil. So if they want to play that game, look how they jumped on Sarah Palin with her cross hairs on a state with theGabby Giffords shooting.
On a side note I heard both Obamas andRomney's speeches on the tragedy. I was struck by Romneys use of 'God' 'We' and ''Family'. It was very good and very appropriate. Obama's had alot of'I and references to his own family.

All Obama cares about is himself. But you already knew that.

I hope you aren't serious about Bane in the movie being at all connected to an attack on Romney.

Some people believe the constant lies from Rush Limbaugh about a character that has existed in the Batman world for 20 years.

It's a shame that the usual suspects in this thread are proving your point completely right.

Or you can have an intelligent thought for a change and go back and read what Rush actually said.

Here's the transcript.

The dems talked about tying Romney to Bane in the move before Rush came up with the theory.

Interesting. One guy, who worked for the Clintons and attacked Obama throughout the 08 primaries, made an absurd statement and it's somehow linked to all Democrats. That's quality journalism right there.

It's why I rarely look at anything that could be a little bit political. I stay away from most threads because they're just retarded.
