Track & Field, Cross Country.
Perhaps I should have clarified... team sports.

It was obvious what the thread was about and what the site uses as its measure of success. At some point Sly needs to do something about jbock and Haize constantly using this board as their own bully platform.

Maybe it's time to put them in time out for a month or two until they learn to behave like adults.
Gee dad, don't take away my car keys and ground me! What's nex? Send me to bed without supper?

I'm not the one who brought the NCCAA into the conversation nor am I the one who brought off the field measures into the conversation. Sooooo, who hijacked what?
Maybe it's time for you to get back to the home and take your meds. Plus, I heard the will have your favorite at dinner tonite...yep it's blue jello nite!

In JBocks defense, he did say Olympic sports. Of which I believe T and F qualifies.

Pretty sure those are both team sports? Just because you have individuals win, teams still compete... Track has been ranked in the Top 25 as a TEAM for most of the past 15 years.

Yeah, but he said ALSO - like it was a new point. I don't consider Golf a major sport, even though it's not play int he Olympics.

Haize - Read the entire thread top to bottom and specifically my response to JK when I mentioned the NCCAA. You won't do that so let me spell it out real clear for you -

1. JK was upset at my choosing to use the directors cup standings to point out overall success of our athletic department, stating that only using wins and losses takes away from the mission of the school.

2. I countered by saying it's Division I athletics, and moral victories don't score you points on the field nor do they increase your directors cup standings. Win baby win.

3. To further drive my point home, I informed him that even the NCCAA has their own version of an all sports award, And they too only award points for wins and losses, not moral victories. Even in the NCCAA you need to win on the field.

If you cannot understand that and why I brought it up....

Jbock - I thought you learned not to question me the first time? What national level success?
Perhaps you should again READ THE ACTUAL SITE to figure out how they score the teams. If you score at your respective NCAA Championship you earn points. The higher your finish the more points you earn. IT IS THE SAME AS THE SASSER CUP, and football and basketball are only two of MANY sports the NCAA sponsors. A school can score their best 10 men's and 10 women's to finishes.

Because you're too lazy to look it up -

1. Golf - 10th place finish and 67.5 points
2. Swimming - 44th place finish and 30 points
3. Men's soccer - 25 points
4. Volleyball - 25 points
5. Women's basketball - 25 points
6. Men's TF - 54th place finish and 19.5 points

I knew that from memory. Did you?

I get it, we all get it, you dont care about any national finishes other than football and basketball. We all agree to a certain extent as obviously football and basketball finishes garner the most attention. Having said that, it is fun to see who is the best across all sports. Again, keep in mind this is a national version of the SASSER CUP and an objective way to rank athletic departments across the board. It is an all sports trophy and as such will rank sports other than the big two. If you don't like it, leave the thread.

Before you post anything else you might also want to pay more attention to the 6 sports that scored points listed above. Your question of "who has national level success" leads me to believe you are an extremely uninformed "fan" of Liberty athletics. Uneducated people should not be entitled to an opinion.

Not sure how I can answer your question any better. As these were the programs that scored points, these were the ones who had a national finish and thus national level success. Check their respective NCAA championships. Liberty was well represented this year at the national level.

There is no chuckling in Time Out! You will stay there young man until you learn your lesson! How can you have your pudding if you don't eat your meat? Study

Sorry. I am going into exile instead of timeout. 8)

Here's the thing. I like the way logic thinks. I honestly like the dreams and visions he has. But we aren't there. Yet.

Why thank you. I wish you felt the same way. I like to point out we're getting closer.

Why would any player like Dickens play for HCJC?
