Great story here about the improbable rise of HS football in Washington DC. This is huge because of the geographical location to Lynchburg VA. DC to Lynchburg is approximately 2 1/2 hours. MASN is a standard cable channel which we all know carries most of the games live. This is a great recruiting tool for those parents and family members who want to see their baby boys play each week. LOL...

By the way, Friendship had the no. 1 DE tackle in the country who signed with Florida St. Many of the kids on the bench received FBS scholarships....Their parents are christians and I hope we can establish a good connection with this school.

FYI...This is where Yannick Nokogue and Willie Richardson is now attending. They are on our list of recruits....Yannick is 4Star.

We certainly will be like most other schools in the region and making our presence known. These types of school situations of creating what are essentially city all-star teams are becoming more common lately. This is simply taking the hoops model to a new sport.

Ive found its closer to three unless youre outrunning state troopers (Ive seen quite a few on 81 and I think 95)

It's a 3 hour trip if all goes well in traffic. Manassas is 40 minutes outside DC on a good day and I only made the Manassas to Lynchburg in under 2 hours on one occasion.

With that said, DC area football is definitely on the upswing.

The #1 DT, not DE. At 6'4", 315 Goldman is a monster gap plugger. They did not have kids on the bench getting FBS scholarships. They had good starters, like LB Selton Hodge, getting FCS scholarships (Richmond). No reason to oversell it, it's a very good HS program.

Its part of the trip (95 is anyway). I think I took 81 in part when I went to visit a friend in Winchester a couple years ago

Your best bet is 29 and 66 if you're doing the trip. Just plan to avoid the rush hour traffic on 66 and it's a pretty easy trip.
