We need to go to an established D1 confernece and play real D1 schools. playing a bunch of newly created D1 schools ain't gonna help program. The key thing here is LU is a growing school where as 99% of every other school in nation has peaked.
Do you have a source for your 99% claim?
I think have regional or state schools that are known will do more for our program then playing schools like Ark St. We need one to help build the other.

Ark St went to a bowl game last season if I recall correctly. If we go to a D1 conference we need to not play schools we haev ever played before except BCS conference schools. as for schools peaking, I have no proof other than my common sense based on my knowledge of NCAA . I think someday LU will cover the entire mountain.

Because we are good enough, smart enough and dog gone it, people like us!
Only reason I didn't say that is because I've used that line describing this topic before.

A conference like this would get you to D1, then if you continued to develop facilities and draw large crowds you would be cherry pick to another conference. But even if you didn't I think a conference like this would have a bright future. I think the key is just getting to D1.

People, Liberty is already DI. It's FBS we're talking about. And how is Richmond even part of the discussion? As far as JMU, it wouldn't be a bad thing to be in the same conference. I would think regional rivals would be an important part of a move from Division I FCS to Division I FBS.

Or even better split them so me year we play one at home and one on the road. Flip flop them the next year

Personally I'd rather we be in a league with Rice ... or Texas State ... or UTSA ... but I'd certainly be down with any Louisiana schools.

The Temple domino finally falling today helps to get this process inching further along wherever we land.

yeah. I had to stop reading because that makes me mental. I figure if you don't realize we've been D-I since 1989 I probably don't need to pay attention
