If JB is such a problem shouldn't the man running the University do something about it?? Or maybe Jr realizes that things are pretty good overall.

yes the MBB's program is not doing well, but where we finish in conference means nothing. What means something is winning in the post season and aside from a fluke championship RD's track record wasn't much better.

I am sick of losing in the 1st round. I am sick of inconsistency. RD was just as inconsistent as the teams are today and there is no way you can honestly say it was improving. Players would've transferred out like they always do and we would be stuck with 1st round exists. Until we figure out how to keep players around we won't be able to have any kind of sustained success.

That is a problem that runs deeper then an AD.
I thought BJ was locked in for Dopey of the Seven Dwarfs but you are making a run for it. The program was on the climb...community was returning from Hankinson debacle. Sure the one point lost to a better VMI team than is playing for Championship tomorrow was disappointing. Shame on you for classifying a BSC regular season and tournament Championship as a fluke. That line of thought has put us where we are. Athletics are fine if you like being 2nd in BSC to SBU in football and 4,3,6,2,5 with no championship appearances even in MBB.
the community support was NEVER strong while I was a in Lynchburg (2003-2008). Please stop that now...If we are talking about you and your friends then sure, but that is about it.

again if you are going to blame JB then grow a pair and go higher then that and blame JFjr for not firing him. But you won't because you hate JB. You hate he fired your friend. It burns you up inside and nothing else matters.

I admit the fluke statement was out of line, but I am sure you will ignore that.

I don't like JB nearly as much as you think. I think at this point we need to keep him until we move up because of the contacts he has created. You make me want to be JB's biggest fan, but the fact of that matter I am not. I think he has made some mistakes, the biggest mistake is the hire of RM. Go ahead though, lump me in with BJ if it makes you feel better. Its clear to me you aren't interested in anything else which is fine.

Mel Hankinson ran everybody off and people were offended how JM and RD were treated. RD was re-energizing community it was building...people were excited again. They even hung on to see if the JB/RM hype was for real...then it proved to be incompetence on how to best use the resources. The community has vanished! Watch and see how long they take to return...JB needs to be accountable. As Chris Lang said, " we were beaten by an athletically superior team." Not a one possession game either and not a team that advanced to championship but a team UNCA beat by 30. This program was in way better shape prior to JB agenda.

STOP. I posted this in another thread but it was conveniently ignored.
2002, 1658. pathetic. But what can you expect. We were pretty fresh from the Hankinson era. In which we were generally last in the country.

2003, 2752 average. Not great.

2004, A CHAMPIONSHIP YEAR: 4152 average. Man that's some awesome numbers but it's still less than half capacity and under the NCAA average. Well maybe the excitement from that awesome season will generate excitement and ticket sales next year

2005, 3289 average. Well, less than previous year but that's better than it is now, and it turned kind of into a surprise rebuilding year.

2006, year after a "rebuilding year": 1783. aaand we're back to pathetic levels.
no matter what your subjective opinion on how the program was going, you cannot say that attendance has been anything above abysmal. Now you may resume trying to reconstruct an alternate history based on him being resigned.
