I think there is. Someone refresh my memory but we had a recent Rocco class that was ranked in the FCS. Right?

And that is a good thing. I was just saying that you cant pin the quality of an entire recruiting class on one player. As I said, he is a good signing and I hope to see him light up the field the next 4 or 5 years.

Another TE? Well I guess we wont have to worry about that position for a few years either

I'm stuck in Idaho/Wyoming this AM away from a computer. Thanks to everyone helping to keep me connected to Signing Day through my phone. What an awesome haul with a bunch of surprises!

The speed in this class is impressive. Heck even Holt a DL clocked a sub 5.0 40 time.

What is nice is that one of the tight ends played nose guard until this year so will be used to mixing it up while the other runs the 100m dash on the track team - nice to have that mix at that position.

I am interested to see how this class stacks up against Richmond's

I find it interesting we had 0 QBs. Rocco always brought in at least 1 every year. I wonder if we were aggressively pursuing any.

You can also see where TG & Company think our biggest weaknesses/lack of depth are:
WR - 3 signees
TE - 2 signees
DL - 4 signees (including the 2 mid year transfers)

Maybe it means that Coach Gill either has more confidence in the QBs he has in house or he is going to get a transfer once school is out

I read that article. I cant find player rankins on those Richmond Signees. Do they stack up with our 4 , 3star recruits ?

Javan Shashaty. I know he is just a preferred walk on but he’s the type that could develop into a decent QB 3-4 years down the line when we’d need a QB. But I agree it’s usually a good idea to bring in a scholarship QB every year.

If I’m going to be picky I’m wishing we had a few more o-line commitments.

Beat me to it manson. I can only surmise that the lack of a QB in this signing class means one of 3 things:

1. Gill and staff have evaluated our returning QBs and feel we are well set.
2. Stay tuned for an announcement of an FBS QB transfer.
3. (my personal favorite) 1+2

The only other position not addressed in this class is CB, and again it seems that is a position where we have a lot of young talent returning, including 2 FBS transfers with multiple years of eligibility left.
