I wouldn't be surprised to see Ward or Jenkins switched to the 4 technique. I would also expect Bah to be kicked inside.

Yeah, Ward was one of the first guys I thought of when thinking if anyone would be switched to DE. I'm not sure if Jenkins has the speed to play DE, but maybe.

And I also thought about Bah at DT.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I think it's almost definite Vinson ends up back at Safety.

I wonder about Aikens and Ayers. Do both stay at CB? Both safety? Aikens to Safety and Ayers at CB?

I think DBs is just going to come down to what the coaches feel. The good thing is we have some durability. I'm happy to be going back to the 4-3. I love the 3-4 as a defense, but it is so heavily predicated on a nose tackle collapsing the pocket, which is near impossible to find on the FCS level (or FBS for that matter). Thanks Asa!

Definitely would switch Bah and Varol around. Varol is a classic rush end. Bah is more of a classic interior lineman.

I agree... Varol's the guy on the outside. Bah probably becomes the third DT in the rotation, and slides in on obvious passing downs.

I'm guessing Sigmon gets the nod at MLB, but don't picture Hyland moving outside.

Linebacker will be interesting. Previously we had 4 LB positions and each were 3-4 deep. Now you have 15 or so people to plug into 3 spots. Some guys like Vinson and Ward are options for other positions. Running a 4-3 requires your LB's to flow more freely to the ball on running plays because the offensive linemen are occupied with tackles and ends. This is especially helpful for teams with smaller “speed” backers who excel at making plays in space. Our LB speed last year was suspect and showed in some situations. It will be interesting to see the depth chart going into spring. I know that Martin is listed as one of the strong side backer position.

Calm down. I love KFogg. He’s one of my favorite players on the team. And most of this board loves him. Many were talking at the end of last year about him switching to Offense so he could get more playing time. I hope Fogg starts and believe he has plenty of ability – just look at all his awards he’s earned. And if he doesn’t start at corner, that just shows you how deep and talented we are in the secondary. But chill out bro.

Agree with Manson...the guy is amazing. His greatest contribution though will be in special teams but he is gonna get his chance on defense.

I am glad we are going to the 4-3. I have never liked the 3-4, 3-5 or whatever. Key to defense is the D line getting into the backfield, (along with a LB blitzing) disrupting the play. When you allow LBs and DBs to make tackles past LOS, that means yards are being gained.

Sorry but I'm not guessing Sir. I know what I know for a reason. Fogg has been switched to the field and will start. I agree that he will be used a little on offense but will play more at corner. My apologizes jc if that came off harsh but didnt mean to offend you.
