it depends- do you regard a 4 yr old cutting his own hair with safety scissors while crapping his pants in the middle of the living room "using your imagination"? to a degree I believe that does count.

but my wife probably aged a few more yrs over it.

Frankly I am shocked at what the kids today do find worthy of chewing up copious amounts of time. What was the name of that thing. I spent hours upon hours playing it. I even bought the loop accessories. I could see buying one if I could find it

Dude, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast much less something my mom probably through out three decades ago. Buit it might have had a Johnny Rutherford endorsement and perhaps was called Johnny Lightning Racing or something like that.

My almost 4-year-old has this thing. Sometimes I let him play with it when I need a break. (He uses my cars from back in the day)

Now that is sweet!

Believe it or not, my son never really got into the Hot Wheels we bought him. But my dainty, ballet-loving 7-year-old daughter has a blast with them. Go figure.

Nice Johnny Rutherford reference! I was hoping for Tom Sneeva but it was probably too vague. I guess now I'll be on a Google hunt to figure it out.

Some old guys have elaboate train tracks set up in their basement and watch their little electric trains run for hours; not Purple--I can see him doing that with HOT WHEELS in his basement.

The only thing I remember about Hot Wheels is the beating my mom used to give me with pieces of the track for not cleaning up my room. OUCH!

Those red tracks could leave some serious marks. I had blocked that out of my mind until that remark, CJ.

So I wasn't the only one, Sly? My guess is Purple got his share of beatings with them, too. Crybaby

I think the projectors will be gone. Don't know for sure but I think JLF or JB said so.

I think it would be sorta cool to keep them. Talk about a full multimedia experience. Plus it would be cool for concerts. (which BTW and OT would like to see more of)

With this and the new practice facility we should be on par with just about any program in the country in terms of facilities. Should get a shot at good recruits year after year going forward.
Love the commitment the university is making to this program!

Practice Facility underway;

From Lang:
Work continues on the new four-sided video board at the Vines Center. The school hopes to have it fully functional for next Saturday’s LU women’s basketball game.

Last thing I heard from my friends in athletics is that they were still figuring out whether to keep the screens or not. The thing holding up the choice is convo and knowing that no one who sits on the floor would be able to see the jumbo tron. Also heard talk of just keeping two of them.

Sounds like a good idea to keep two for convo (for those who sit behind the stage)

I agree with this...if they are going to keep two, the ones by the main entrance would make the most sense

There will only be 1 screen left up and it will be put up over the tunnel entrance.
