He had to overcome several bad calls ... like the lateral which was ruled a forward pass and blown dead deep in Pit's end. He had to recover from Willis McGahee fumble while in FG range, which would have put it out of reach. He had to win it with his arm cause his running backs were shut down completely.

How many yards did he pass for today ....60? or 70? Tebow won this one almost by himself, his team mates would tell you the same thing.
dude his defense once again put up a solid showing. you are like on the complete opposite side of absurdity as cjsweat. you guys cancel each other out.

the bad calls went both ways, i don't see how deckers ball wasn't a catch and a fumble, the ball was moving before the ground was in play.

Am I really absurd for not buying into a QB who doesn't throw even 50% and thinking one of the richest guys in the world COULD win the Presidency?

he's an awful thrower with a lot of awful passes but when the ones are dead on and you win the game, what can you do? you don't have to be on the guy's jock to say, that was a pretty good showing.

CJ - yes. ( and he is not high on the list of richest people in the world)

RUBBER - the defense played very well. But they were looking gassed in the 4th. They were getting carved up by the run near the end.

General question: did he throw that many wounded ducks in college? I don't recall him throwing that bad a ball at Florida. I could be wrong. Just asking

Yes.

To others here, Look, Tebow didn't win this by himself. And to say so is absolutely ridiculous. But he did a good job, and did what he needed to. Kudos. (do they still make kudos bars btw? I haven't had one of those in a long time)

yeah he did. that was one of the reasons he was knocked.

their d wasn't gassed enough to stop them in the last few minutes. you have to play good defense to not allow the long balls while not cushioning too much to allow them to get into fg rang. very difficult and they did it really well.

Ok. I wasn't sure. I think the key the last possession was adding another rusher. That 3 person rush was horrible

yeah, even hobbled big ben is one of the best step up into the pocket guys in the nfl. if tebow could learn to do that instead of run backwards, it would be another plus in his corner.

He's on the list right? He's a multi-billionare. Not to get into a political debate here but would you not agree that the majority of politics is about money?

I said he played well above. I just don't think that he won that game, Denver won that game. The defense came up with a HUGE stop at the end of the 4th. Then Tebow threw like a 15 yard pass to a wide open receiver who then ran 60 yards by himself. He played well! He really did. I love his demeanor and creativeness out of the pocket. However, to say that he won this game by himself is ridiculous in my opinion.

CJ - depends on how big the list is. If its long enough my wife and I are probably on it.

Forbes had him 159 in the US in 2010

No, couldn't be. Art wants us to go FBS. "Just Do It" he would say. Purple doesn't believe Liberty belongs in the top tier of college athletics.

He threw for more yards than anyone had against the Steelers ALL year.

He makes big plays. His running threat, combined with the aggressive nature of the Steelers defense, led to big plays. I'm pretty sure they could have run the read-option at Harrison all day. He had NO idea how to defend it.

And were the calls really that bad both ways? The Decker "fumble" was the same "not completing the catch" that has haunted tons of guys in the NFL this year. You have to keep the ball all the way thru the catch, period. Other than that, there was a bit of a "let them play" feel to the game, I don't remember a single holding call, although several were needed.

Overall, the Broncos made the big plays the needed to make in order to win. The catalyst to those big plays on the offensive end is Tim Tebow. This is the same Broncos team that was 1-4. Just with a different guy taking the snaps on offense.

Yeah, he got the most banged up steelers team all season. The guy that was 1-4 with the Broncos was Kyle Orton. Orton couldn't motivate a squirrel on acid. One thing Tebow does do well is lead. However, if you honestly think he's going to develop into a good QB, you're insane. Name one NFL QB that completed less than 50% his first two years and was still starting for that team 5 years later.

cj why are you stuck on this 50% thing? If he wins football games why does it matter that he doesnt complete 50%?

Because he is not winning football games. His defense and receivers are. He threw the TD pass about 15 yards and the receiver ran for 65 more. How did Tebow win that? The reason I look at completion percentage so much is because of this. As a QB, your team calls on you to spread defenses out and create long distance plays. That means that when Denver needed Tebow, he came through...47.6% of the time. If I was running a ship and my engine only worked 47.5% of the time, would I want to keep the engine long term?

For the record, he played the best game of his career today. Yet, he still completed under 50%. When you play against Brady, Brees, Rodgers...etc, you have to complete much more than that. Look what happened to Tebow when he faced a legit QB. Detroit...45-10. New England...41-23 The difference isn't the defense. The difference is the QB. When you face good QB's, you have to be able to answer.

Dude, he played with like a broken ankle. That whole team is banged up. I called this game to be close because of that and so did many other people.

Terry Bradshaw
Drew Bledsoe
Bob Greise
Dan Fouts
John Elway
Fran Tarkenton
Phil Simms
Joe Namath

Just a few who started their career with a season or two in the 40's and very low 50's for completion percentages. And that's not including guys from before the merger, since I already know what you'd say about them.

I'll wait for your next baseless claim or remark. I don't mind looking around to continue to find that you write checks you can't cash.
