He had to overcome several bad calls ... like the lateral which was ruled a forward pass and blown dead deep in Pit's end. He had to recover from Willis McGahee fumble while in FG range, which would have put it out of reach. He had to win it with his arm cause his running backs were shut down completely.
How many yards did he pass for today ....60? or 70?
Tebow won this one almost by himself, his team mates would tell you the same thing.
Okay, hold on. Tebow had a good game and that's one thing. But he won this by himself?? He didn't complete even 50% of his passes. He couldn't hold on to the ball in the final minutes to prevent a Pittsburgh TD. Not to mention, he did all of this against a really banged up defense. Second of all, I watched the game and the refs were fine. I know that Tebow fans have already created this excuse for his future embarrassment next week but the refs were fine today. That pass was a fumble but because of the whistle they couldn't overturn the call. Once the whistle is blown, the play is dead and anything beyond the whistle can't be accounted for. So, although the pass was technically a fumble, they couldn't overturn it.
Secondly, Tebow had like 3 deep passes. The rest were short passes and then the receiver did the rest of the work. It isn't like Tebow was throwing 30 yarders through coverage. Also, I'm pretty sure his defense came up with that big stop at the end of the game. Tebow did play well tonight so, I'm not trying to discredit what he did. However, to say that he won this game is foolish.
