i agree HF. this is total speculation. and rocco would do the right thing if he were to come. everyone thinks because UVA has settled on sewell as their QB, and vic has not had a shot, that he is unahppy. vic went on record this year saying all is good with him. so im leaving it as he is happy where he is.

That is my sense as well until something more concrete comes out of this. For the record - I think he could come here (or any D-IAA for that matter) and play QB - but would want to see him win the job on his own merit vs. having a deal struck before getting on campus. I can't see Coach Rocco doing something like that.

Mike Vick's true freshman year (1998) Al Clark and Dave Meyer got hurt VT ended up with Nick Sorensen coming over from Safety to play QB. Beamer wouldn't take the shirt off Vick because he promised MV's high school coach (Tommy Reamon) that he would let Mike take a year and learn. How did Mike repay VT - he left after two years on the field (even though being number 1 pick overall you really can't blame him) for the NFL. Since that time my philosphy has been one of what's best for the program - period.

Guys, as great as it would be to have Vic, we need to stay focused on the task at hand. That is winning Saturday at Coastal. I want Vic to come here as bad as anyone. We shouldn't worry about adding players until this season is over. Then, we will see what happens.

Great thing about this guy is he wouldn't worry about that b/c if he know's he'll have a true opportunity he believes he can beat anyone out. And believe me i watched the kid from JV till now there aren't many people he wouldn't beat out if giving a fair shot, all due respect to our qb's he's honestly that good...But for now i'm firmly behind Brock and want him to do well as much as anyone.

According to what I have read and to see all of these positive comments about Vic Hall it would be great to have someone of that calibre to come to LU and play 1AA ball. Our QB drought has lasted way too long and so far this year it looks like it will continue with what we do have. I can't stress the importance of good QB play when the program is trying to shead this loosing mentality that we have had for so long. Other prominent 1AA programs have flourished with 1A transfere QB's and there is no reason why we can't follow those programs ways.

Oh great just when I thought I could breathe easy for a week, and a new QB on the seen. Boy I do not think my nerves could stand another stress. Only hope the best for the team, but I am not about having any Prima Donnas around either, if this guy is as awesome as you say maybe hi isnt but I have seen to many of them.. Thanks for the info. I will have to go to UVA's website and see who it is. I wonder if vic is still in the picture. I don't see a problem with bring this transfere stuff up since we are focused on the future and not so much the immediate ( like the game this Saturday). I guess we can talk more in depth when the season ends.

manger, if it is substantial, bring it, but if it is not credible let it die. transfer talk should start after the season. UVA's backups are mccabe, olsen and deke. olsen is a grad student, so it would be mc cabe or deke, and i would venture to say it would be mc cabe since he has seen the field and did not do well in his time this year. deke runs the scout team.
