The former Nebraska star quarterback comes to Liberty following his previous head coaching experience at Kansas and Buffalo, and becomes the eighth head coach in program history.

In addition to introducing Coach Gill, Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Athletics Director Jeff Barber will also make a special announcement about the future direction of your football program.

Rocco said he expected a FBS announcement soon.

In all honesty, about the special announcement Chancellor Falwell will make, it says its about the Liberty Football program, so I kind of feel like a new conference or FBS jump is probably ruled out as that would affect all athletics, no?

Not necessarily...many schools are moving to FBS in only football and staying with their other conference for all other sports.

In the FCA and Baptist circles he runs in I honestly would think yes with this alone. When you throw in the fact he took one of our coaches you know he knew about Lib.
