Not too worried about it, thanks for the compliment. Always awesome when people are penalized and tried to be ostracized for being new and holding an objective opinion. Sorry to stumble into the Good Ole' Boys Club

Honestly, if you stopped with the "martyr complex" people wouldn't actually harp on you all the time. These "Us vs. Them" type of posts only annoy people rather than get them on your side. I'm sure you probably make some good points just let up with the Woe Is Me stuff

You dont have to go swinging to the other extreme either. If you can be level headed and not spend so much time on the "me against the world" posts that NG33 is talking about, youll probably a) get along with more people here and b) be taken a whole lot more seriously.

I'll let NG33 answer that one since he brought it up

PARKS I don't feel you're the issue here.

the problem is the last half dozen guys who registered but only post a variation of the following:

Barber has a big ego
The AD is the problem
Barber hired the wrong guys
insert former hoops or baseball coach here should never have been let go
The AD doesnt run a good "Christian" program

we're just tired of having people's personal vendetta's rammed down our throats, in every freakin' thread.
contribute something meaningful or at least make fart jokes ... SOMETHING
you're supposed to enjoy yourself here

Farting is highly underrated.

PAmedic I read what you wrote and completely agree, BYD and I jab at each other, and I don't agree with all the constant Barber and program bashing. Seriously, thank you for bringing me back down. I really think what happened today is more of an opportunity than a travesty. I just really want my intentions to stop being questioned every time I post something objective. I love this program and want nothing but the best.

PS: I love fart jokes, and it is underrated

It was probably make the play-offs or he is coming in.... We'll get a name in the next two weeks, after Rocco leaving has calmed down.

I would expect a VERY big name [ ex-Pro ] to hype recruiting and go to FBS

.
My wife and I were discussing this earlier -- this was her first rreaction when I told her about DR's move (and she predicted Urban Meyer to tOSU three days after Tressel resigned). I decided I was going to coin a new term, and would be calling this being Houted ;)

Why not go get a guy that's been a part of getting to the playoffs? Go raid Ga Southern, Brent Davis, great offensive mind who's been apart of great teams. I think he knows what it takes to have success.

How about Jerry Moore, I hear rumblings that App St is getting tired of him dragging their program down...

How about somebody at South Carolina? We know JB came from there, that's where he got Toman, and supposedly one of their assistants was a finalist for the men's bball job.

John Butler - graduated from Catholic, coached at Harvard & Minnesota prior to SC. 38 years old
Ellis Johnson - they're top assistant, he's in his 50's, was a Head Coach briefly at the Citadel and Gardner-webb in the 80s, Defensive Coordinator for App State, Southern Miss, Alabama, & Miss St
GA Mangus - from Richmond, VA, QB at Florida, 42 years old, HC at a D3 and was very successful there, OC at MTSU

Beamer has already been mentioned with the South Carolina ties. But I believe he arrived in Columbia right after Barber came to Lynchburg.
