I don’t think it will affect the outcome of the game, but it’s still interesting nonetheless. He’s talking about playing everybody significant number of plays regardless of score, sitting all these guys out, stating that we’ve been using practice this week to review some for upcoming games like a typical bye week. Interesting strategy.
It was strange to hear him say KWC was undermanned, underwieght and lacked our team speed. Guess it was his way of nicely saying it will not be much of a contest.

on another note i'm glad that some players will get an opportunity to see game action. However i don not like the way people describe the 2nd and 3rd teamers as "Scrubs" or call it a "practice game". I would like you to tell that to their faces, then we could all watch them bench press you. These players in most cases practice harder than the starters because they are trying to prove to the coaches that they deserve to be out there. hemselves

Man - what happens if we play the Red Sox and start losing this game? Does Mike come in? I don't think that will happen, but I have seen crazier things...

I'll know more about the extent of Brown's injury today after practice. I know he had an MRI on it earlier this week.

Liberty is about to embark on what essentially is a six-week playoff. The Flames need all hands on deck for that. If I were a fan, I'd be upset if any of these guys were playing this week. It's just not smart.
I got ya Chris. Rocco knows better than me. Just disappointment we won't score 80 points on these guys and let the boys have a little fun for once...
So would this be #3? As for the other time you were wrong, in fairness, I thought she looked 18 too!

And can you really get injured on the Chess Team :dontgetit I didn't think carpal tunnel syndrome kicked in till later in life.
Use this as time to rest the injured and get game experience for those who need it. I would have played them a qtr or so but that's about it. Getting a sub some game time now can only help down the road.

Dang it...It was checkers...Why can't you get that right?...checkers is my game...chess is lame...checkers takes skill, endurance, and a whole lot of practice...checkers...please get it right.

Hey, I know we have alot of players out/hurt etc... but don't fall asleep here !
This is still a college team we are playing and I am not liking all the casual prep...
Thats how we screw up!
We are sounding like Va Tech playing JMU....
The players need MORE focus and LESS mistakes, not a week of PLAY TIME.

where in the world do you get "casual prep" with rocco's comments? this is a perfect game to get players some needed experience and rest the injured players. If you are at practice and in meetings to verify the casual preparation that is one thing, but i think that the guys are working hard this week just like any other week.

Is casual prep anything like casual Fridays?

Chris' story about Tyler Brennan starting tonight ...

What was originally a ho-hum non-conference game against a winless Division II team became a lot more interesting for Liberty football fans this week when the news broke that starting quarterback Mike Brown would miss the game with a sore hip and knee.

Brown’s injuries thrust backup Tyler Brennan into the spotlight, as he’ll make his first start this evening when the Flames entertain overmatched Kentucky Wesleyan at 7 p.m.

Looks like it. Looks like we marched down the field, tried to throw in the red zone, got behind on downs, and then didn't convert. Typical Liberty.
