Touches a nerve because when I played Roanoke City rec ball when I was very young they always lied to us and told us we'd have a playoffs, then they cancelled it every year. The problem with the country today is that nobody wants to win. We've taught a generation of losers. Ones who are content with blaming others for their problems, instead of going to the plate in life and taking care of things themselves.

At this little guys age I actually understand limiting his time with the ball, no need to run up a score. I really like his priorities. God, Grades and then TD's! Keep an eye on this fella!

The primary responsibility at that level is developing players for high school football ... It's about making sure that their teams will be the best they can be once they reach high school.

Then get better coaching. If they can't do that, then oh well. Don't penalize a kid because he's a level above everyone else.

Get better coaching? What does that have to do with the fact that it's too easy to just give this kid the ball and let everyone else just watch?

It's up to the defense to stop the kid.

It's up to the coach of the offense to make sure each kid is doing what they supposed to do. If not, sub them out.
