Me too. I'm having a hard time caring about this game, the team and the University.
The game and the coaching staff, yes.
The University and other individuals on the team, no.

Even if we go 9-2, make the playoffs, even win a game in the playoffs, I will never feel as great about it as I could have.

I got this message last night...I wont say who its from but lets just say that its someone who is a regular reader of this board:
BJ, FYI, Purple Haize is quoting an old Liberty Way when he says that possession of illegal drugs is an automatic 2 semesters out. Sorry to bother you with all this stuff but I thought I'd take one last look at the board tonight. I probably will never look at Flamefans.com again after tonight. I have really lost all respect for so many of the posters on that board after seeing their judgmental, mob-like, jump to conclusions first, get facts later response.

We all hope for a good game as for good food lots of places in town. Stadium food same as most any other college stadium. I would grab a bite in town before you go over the mountain to Goodman.

My coice is usually Greekers at Pete's just off campus. ( hotdog, chili sauce raw onions) My taste buds loe'em my stomach pays for it later

I don't know. Ask that jersey ticket dude, I just paid him and had him figure it out.

Hopefully Liberty's defense can keep Lehigh's offense under control. Not sure how good Monmouth and Princeton are, but they played a close, high scoring, game against UNH. Hoping for a big upset. Happy Homecoming Game!

Yow, a lot of battery acid in here. Watching the JMU game, it didn't seem so much to be a matter of coaching as size to me. Man for man, our team just looked a lot lighter. Faster, maybe, but a lot lighter.

I met one of the team a few weeks ago and didn't know what position he played. He was built like a wide receiver, so I just assumed he was something like that. Turns out he's a defensive back, one of the leading tacklers on the team. I was quite surprised at his lack of size (btw, you want your defensive linemen to be the leading tacklers, not your backs...=).

And somebody at JMU was watching LU films. We have a favorite play in passing straight out to the wide receiver who stays at the line of scrimmage. If you know he's not going to go deep, you can play tight and hit him immediately for little or no gain. On our defensive side, our left corner was playing so far back they had an easy out pass for a first down almost every throw.

Then again, if we had just one of their running backs it would have been a different game. Or, the two easy FGs that were missed...

Even if you are upset about the "other" situation, there are still 100 other players on this team that work hard to get better every single day and NEED support from their fans. Get excited!!!! #BeatLehigh :cheerleader

Indeed an excellent write-up.

I love this statement: "Liberty students, on the other hand, do not leave early. They have one of the most rabid fan bases in all of the FCS." :D

JMU fans pointed out some differences between their players and LU's- didn't see any mention about size. I don't think size or strength were a part of our loss- more fundamentals. We also closed holes as quickly as they, but our poor tackling opened quite a few back doors for the run.

The best medicine is a big win. And this has all the makings. 2-2 sounds much better than 1-3.

I will say that I have enjoyed this season much more already , as opposed to playing 2-3 cupcakes.

Rain levels the playing field when it comes to speed. This does not work in our favor.

Pretty quite around here. Hope your kids are all 'tucked in' in some nice hotel and not out getting in trouble. They're going to need a goods night's sleep for tomorrow's slobberknocker. Heard your HC is originally from the Lehigh Valley. Maybe he's out showing them the 'hot' spots in South Bethlehem!
