Its pretty clear that this Sunday is the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Do you remember where you were when you first saw the news reports? (I think there was a topic about this before but I thought Id start another one
I was a student at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA. I was in weightlifting class when one of the other cadets heard on the radio in the weight room that someone had flown a plane into the World Trade Center. After we finished I went to shower and change when we got the announcement for a school circle formation on "Company Street". It was there that Col. Baker (who just retired recently) gave the news to the corps. I know that we watched the news in my English class right after that and there was concern among the seniors and post-graduates that they might invoke the draft on that day or very soon after.
