Why would this author go after Bachmann like that? He just paints himself as a Ron Paul supporter hyperventilating his dream scenerio.

Texas Rep. Ron Paul is well ahead of Texas governor Rick Perry, according to the latest poll.Click here to read the rest
A poll conduced by Azimuth Research Group finds Mr. Paul leading Mr. Perry in their home state of Texas.
Answering the question, “If the Texas Republican primary were held today, which presidential candidate would you be most likely to vote for?” 22 percent of those polled selected Mr. Paul. Just 17 percent of respondents voted in favor of Mr. Perry.

Forget Pepsi; it appears that veteran Texas congressman Ron Paul is the choice of a new generation. At the New Hampshire Young Republicans Straw Poll and Lobster Bake in New Castle New Hampshire on Saturday, August 20, Paul, taking 45 percent of the total votes, soundly defeated his rivals for the Republican nomination, beating second –place finisher Governor Mitt Romney by over 35 percent of all votes cast.

Heck even Regan still ran up the national debt. Paul seems to be the only rep one crazy enough to do something about the debt other than that, if you really care about the debt issues in the US maybe you should vote democrat (although Obama seems to be bucking the trend).09, it is not fair to place the blame for increasing the national debt on Republican presidents. Everyone of them had to deal with a congress that was either controlled by Democrats or by a combination of Democrats and "moderate" Republicans (aka RINOs). For example, the debt increased under Reagan because the Dems didn't keep their promise to make spending cuts. Don't throw the baby (tea party Repubs) out with the bath water. The RINOs and the Dems are to blame for all the debt, spending, taxes, etc., but there is a new breed of Republicans in town now. We just need to increase their numbers.

I really don't care what the excuse is the blame or credit still falls on the leader. From the class of 09 wrote:I'm so over the republican party for all the talk of republicans and balancing the budget have you ever looked at the national debt broken down by president? Also, I have noticed that many of the Republicans who were moderates or RINOs in the past have learned their lesson and have become tea party Republicans. Covert, I would put Rick Perry in that category (if all the stuff you posted about Perry's past is even true).

alum82 wrote:No 09. You can't lump Obama, Reagan and Bush into that same category. Yes, they all three had a Congress controlled by Dems and/or RINOs but Obama AGREED with the idiots in Congress. Reagan and Bush did not but were prevented from carrying out their preferred agenda of smaller government by Congress. I know that is an over simplification but you can't place all the blame on the leader unless the leader has all the power. Our founding fathers made sure the president's power was limited because they didn't want a king. In America, you can only blame the president if the Congress was complicit in his actions. Obama is the only one that falls in that category.Yes you can...All expanded government. If the president signs it, then he AGREES with those who pushed the bill in the first place. Andrew Jackson ignored Congress and the Supreme Court. Why couldn't Bush or Reagan?
I am hoping and praying that the tea party replace the RINOs once and for all in 2012. Stranger things have happened!

First it's Ron Paul supporters, now it's most Tea Party people. Do you live in isolation over there in the mountains?
