This fall the Liberty Channel will be debuting a new sports show produced by FSN called the Flames SportsDesk. The show will be hosted by Alan York and Erin McKeown and be taped each week in the FSN studio. I am looking for ideas from Flamefans about topics, subjects and features that they might be interested in seeing on the show. The show will be a weekly show and continue through basketball and baseball seasons. The show is a magazine type format and will cover all things pertaining to Liberty Athletics.

Interviews with players and coaches. But more of an emphasis on players.

Behind the scenes look at the team and it's practice facilities.

A look ahead at this week's upcoming opponents.

A look at the other teams in the Big South.

A monthly or quarterly spot with AD Barber on things happening in the athletic department as a whole.

A monthly or quarterly spot with Chancellor Falwell.

Love this idea! Will these shows be archived for those of us out of town to watch when we get free time?

WOW! This is insane. I'm ecstatic to see Liberty really placing their sports into a pretty elite tier.

Alot of these shows turn in to just highlight reels. I hope that's not what we're planning on doing with this. Just a graphic with a rundown of the past week's scores from all sports is fine with me. That would take 30 seconds tops. Maybe if we have a big win then spend a little more time on it (like a win over NCState or JMU).

I think that you can put together a short 2-3 minute highlight for football and/or volleyball (I know you guys knock ESPN but they can pull it off so Im sure we could too) covering a couple of the plays of note from the game.

I wouldn't have a problem with 2-3 minutes of highlights. But not an entire show of it. Most people who will be the dedicated viewers of this show would have been at the game or watched it. I don't need highlights of what I spent an entire day/afternoon watching.

I didnt say it had to be an entire show of it...maybe have a highlight package from football (or men's basketball or whatever the major sport of the season is) of 2-3 minutes as part of the first segment of the show. Like Old School said in the OP, this show will cover ALL things pertaining to Liberty athletics.

Penn State had a site similar...they toured all their sports facilities virtual giving prospectus students/athletes tours and had couple football players blog.
