Fig, there is a pre-class assigment. You'll need to research the following terms/initials:

1.Curse of Morgan Hout
2. RD
3. MR
4. KK (extra credit if you get all 3 KKs)
5. E-T-S-U
6. History of HC candidates at PC
7. original LBC school colors
What? No RR or CB on the list? What a travesty!

It would be a little detour for youg guys coming down from L'burg. Graham is west of the where you would get on I40/85 to gome to Raleigh

Did you hear about the fire on the NC state football dorm that destroyed 20 books.
The real tragedy is that 15 of them had not been colored yet.

Hot Off The Press!
With nearly 400 tickets sold for the 6:00 Football game at NC State on Saturday, September 3, we have sold the most tickets by mid-July in Liberty history for a road game! Nearly all of these have been purchased by Flames Club members, but tickets are now also available to Liberty students, alumni, faculty/staff, and season ticket holders; and we do expect to sell out of our allotment. Tickets are $39 and the limit is six per on-line purchase, but you may purchase more by calling or visiting the Ticket Office. You may also purchase the pre-game meal in the Flames Club Tent for an additional $10. The pre-game meal will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 and will be catered by Backyard Bistro (http://www.backyardbistro.com/) with a menu featuring hickory smoked pork BBQ, fried chicken, hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans, mac & cheese, and brownies & cookies for dessert. The pre-game meal is now limited to the first 300 tickets sold, with half of those already claimed.
Hickory smoked pork BBQ, fried chicken, hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans, mac & cheese, and brownies & cookies for dessert .... wow they're making me hungry!

They have a new QB, new starting WRs, unproven running backs - we should be able to limit their offensive production. Their defense is solid, but it will be our strength (our O) against their strength (their D).

A couple of clips of interest.
Liberty at N.C. State (Sept. 3): A tale of two quarterbacks. The Wolfpack will be debuting a new starter in Mike Glennon, while the Flames will showcase Mike Brown, the two-time Big South offensive player of the year and last season’s national leader in total offense. Liberty likely to enjoy sixth straight winning season.

New Superscreen. With a price tag of $1.8 million, funded by the Athletics Department in part with revenue from ticket sales and merchandise sold on game day, the new and improved "Superscreen" is ready for the opening football game on Sept. 3, when the Pack will host the Liberty Flames.

Question: Should I go ahead and snag a ticket right now at about $35, or do you all think the price will continue to drop on sites such as Stubhub.com?

It is a season opener so I doubt the prices go down significantly. Pony up to the LU athletics ticket office and hang with friends in Raleigh.

And drop an extra 10 spot for the pre-game meal of Carolina BBQ.

Every season, we hear the same thing. No FBS team is taking the FCS schools lightly this year. And invariably every season, an FCS team, or two, or three pull off the win. The real error in that annual mantra is that there are a number of FCS schools that match up very well with their FBS counterpart, both on the field and in the coaching ranks as well.
Add it all up and throw in a little "any given Saturday" magic and BOOM, a draw dropping headline is made! It can happen. And with our team it very well may!

Agreed on all counts, ProduPapa73. I think what some are concerned with is the idea that unless we outright win in Raleigh then it was a disappointment. I think most of us feel there is some space in that gap although winning outright would be off the charts (and entirely possible under the proper circumstances).
