sorry to disappoint my friend but attendance size and arena size is definately considered "Conference Talk." Reason is you've got the Vines Center, we've been getting around 4,000 a game. But meanwhile you've got 1,000 screaming Coastal fans inside a Middle School gym... which gives more of a home court advantage?

Sportscenter this morning they are talking about the mid-major conference tournaments starting and I kid you not; anchor Stan Verette says "I love it when, like the 7th seed in, like the Big South wins." Of course he has no clue who that is, but I certainly hope he is disappointed!

I'm confused. Are you saying you're upset with 4k fans on avg. in the Vines (as not being enough) for a basketball game?? Please tell me you're not blaming that on marketing? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you're trying to say....?

I think you are misunderstanding me. I'm not complaining about the marketing, others are on here. Also, I'm not complaining about 4k showing up, I am simply making the argument that what good is 4k if 2k actually care if their team wins and get involved in the game? That's what I'm getting at. As you probably know, half the student section at the football game shows up simply because their friends do. (i.e, those who always leave at halftime).

It's a highly opinionated question so I understand if some see it differently than I do.

There has not been 1 game this season when attendance was over 2k where it was quiet in the Vines. I understand what you're saying, but with 3-4k in the Vines = lots of noise no matter what. Especially when we've had 4k+ then Vines is rocking pretty good.

Very true. I got to say when LU played against Iona and cut the lead to 18 in the second half, that was by far the loudest I've heard the Vines in my 3 years here. Really wish I was cheering with the fans instead of working the game haha
