My point is they didn't even ask about GPA. No one cares about it.

All I'm saying is that there are legit things that you can learn about in a school format for most professions and that if you learn them it will reflect at least loosely in your grades. Not that all employers are looking for a 4.0 students but if you have a 2.0 it's going to be questioned in most professions. Because the questions becomes why did you get a 2.0? Are you lazy? incompetent? At least for that first job these are going to be questions. I get it that once your out of school it's real life experience that will matter.

Many companies won't let you in the door without at least a 3.0 or 3.2. Same goes for many internships. But, again, this whole discussion turns on what field you're talking about. Every profession/major is different.

What I knew and the way I came across in interviews got me the jobs, not the GPA.I think Alumnus must be right on for this being about your field because I had to show may GPA for my job at LU (although it was basically just to prove it was above a 3.0 tutoring) my internship at Genworth and my current job at a financial planning firm.
