he did not enroll for this semester. denard is not saying anything right now. players are saying he'll stay and the coaches have a meeting with him this week.

also, look what we are seeign with hoke "give him time, it will take time, we have to give him a few years possibly" none of that was said about rodriguez. the media has fallen in love with him.

He's 62. You'd think you'd want someone younger, and who could potentially be a long term coach. That is a hard hire to swallow. What happened with Whipple?

yeah, I always thought he got kind of a raw deal at Syracuse and he's a big CT guy and can has a ton of NE connections, but who cares? It's not exactly fertile recruiting grounds. I read that Whipple wanted to bring in all of his own guys but Uconn wanted to retain the remaining staff. I guess really anybody that coaches at Uconn is going to be short term anyway so the age is not really a huge deal. I was just hoping for somebody a little more exciting.

Yeah, I hear ya. I don't understand why you hire a guy to run a program, but don't let him bring in people who share his message. Is the UConn AD a difficult guy to deal or are they still not "all in" when it comes to football? I know they've done work to the stadium, and facilities. It just seems if you want to be a major player you go all in with whoever the coach wants since he is the CEO of the program. In any event, hopefully, it works out for UConn. I like what they've done the last few years, and i'd like to see it continue.
