I am a little surprised to see that they are going to tear down the Hancock Athletic Center to make room for a new visitors center and athletics moving over to Davids Place which seems to be a downgrade in facilities to me. I thought that Hancock was a very nice facility and had a descent weight room as well but maybe with all of the other operation centers they are building near the stadiums or fields so they don't need as big a place for athletic administration as they used to need.
Regarding what I read about the Vines Center improvements I heard that they are putting in a new scoreboard and new ceiling tiles. I didn't think that the roof could support what scoreboard they are talking about and why replace the ceiling tiles if the long range plan is to replace the roof to make room for the new balcony for the additional 3000 seats. Have the plans changed on this?
