I thought Mike was throwing a lot of INTs this year but the other QBs are right on par with him.

Except that Jeremy Moses kid. Those numbers are gaudy.

Moses has 26 TDs but they are all thru the air. Mike has 19 by air and 6 on the ground = 25 TDs. He has a few more yards than mike throwing but total offense Mike has more yards. Looks like he is not the dual threat Mike is. More like a drop back passer - no threat to run

Yeah, Moses's numbers should be looked at the same way a Texas Tech or Hawaii QB's would. They pass, pass, and pass some more at SFA, even when they're up 50.

No, not quite. We really need to be a playoff team for him to have a legit shot at winning this thing. Next year he will be a frontrunner heading into the season. Our team just needs to perform at a high level all season for him to have a chance. If he cuts his INTs in half, he should be right in the thick of things.

The only guy I know of that tracks this sort of thing has Mike coming in at #10 in the overall voting.
10. QB Mike Brown, Liberty, Jr.- 223-351, 2956 yds, 23 TD, 11 INT, 63.5%, 149.6 pass eff., 268.7 yds/gm, 160 carries, 854 yds, 5.3ypc, 9 TD, 77.6 yds/gm, 4 catches, 20 yds in 11 games.

Brown is likely to run away with the Big South Offensive Player of the Year award and I would have him much higher had Liberty won their auto bid and he had less picks on the year.

So....................... Mike is less deserving of an individual award for the best player in FCS because our defense gave up more points than CCU.

The part about the interceptions I get, although his numbers there really aren't out of line with most of the top passers, none of whom can hold his jock as a runner.

Oldflame, it's just like with the Heisman voting. It's typically the top player on one of the top teams in the country. That's just the way it is.
