I doubt it. It's homecoming so all the festivities that typically goes on with HC will be going on - parade, etc. I did hear that Band Alums are able to perform with the band during the game. That could be interesting.
Oish. Bad choice.

Don't worry -- I can't be there, so I'm not playing ;-)

We do have some pretty talented band alumni out there, so I doubt it will be all that bad.

Will BJ be playing with the regular band or with the alumni band? I'm confused. :dontgetit

I'll be with the regular band...unless they let me play one of the concert bass drums (since the music this year doesnt allow for cymbal players)

Regardless, Toscano is good, this team is good, and it will be a good test to see if we're ready for the Big South.
You may have read about the injury here, after their game with Hawaii: http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2010 ... -mistakes/
CSU's Mills: We just had too many mistakes

Charleston Southern played without leading receiver Gerald Stevenson, nursing an injury, and senior receiver Deon Lee, who was injured in the Wofford game. Running back B.J. Hackworth also missed the game due to injury.
Any word if these guys will play this Saturday?

The more and more I think about it. The more I think we should kill them. They completely outplayed us last year and we still won. They beat us in every major stat category last year.
1st downs 16-9
Rush yards 185-55
pass yards 156-110
total yards 341-165

They won't do that this year. We will be focused and ready to play since we're at home.

We win by 2+ TDs.

Im with you jc...last year was probably their best chance to win and we STILL beat them. and as much as TTL and SCH14 wont consider this...LU has proven to be almost unstoppable at home in the last few games in general and against the Bucs in particular. I still think itll be an 11 point game but I think it will be a lot like the game in 06 where itll take a couple late TDs to make the score look a lot less painful

Wow Beej. I even predicted us to win. I just don't think they're going to run out of the locker room with their heads hanging low because they lost in 2002 and 2004. Last year gave them confidence, and this year they want to turn the confidence into experience. They're going to give us a game. Just like last year.

Should and will are two different things. We should run them out of the stadium. But when you have no O-Line production anything is possible.

Mills is a good coach. Easily the best in the Big South behind Rocco, and I'm not convinced DR could do what Jay does with the resources he's given.

So call me unconvinced. I don't mind.

I didnt say that they would TTL...I simply said that history (even if its something that the current players werent a part of) is going to have an effect (just like I mentioned the Navy-Notre Dame example in another discussion). a lot of these guys where on the team when they got shellacked (sp?) in our homecoming game in 2008. Until CSU can show that they can win here (which of late they havent) Williams Stadium is going to be like the Bermuda Triangle for them

Go one season without losing to one of the 5 cupcakes we routinely schedule. If we can do that, win the conference.

Those two things would convince me that we would blow them out.

In 08, I was convinced we would win every game in which we were the better team. Why? Because we spent the previous year beating up on these patsies.

If anything, you fools should have learned that on any given day, any team can beat Liberty. It's happened enough now. I've said in every post that we should win this game.....but this year - we've been pushed around by lesser teams....so there is no such thing as a gimme. Especially this week.
#323237
that can be said of anyone not just Liberty. Sch14, If we go out and beat CSU (and it isnt close), and we blow out the conference, I fully expect you to be the first one on here eating your crow

The whole conference? Sure. Let me ask you something. From what you've seen of the team this year....are we going to blow out the entire conference?
#323242
Look, I do know this team has had some issues and could be pushed by some remaining teams on the schedule. Some of us over inflated our expectations of this years team. They are still very good and I believe we will get the auto bid.

I do think this statement is wrong though.

Dumb statement. Improved? Why yes, they guys on this years team have improved. This is a different team this year with a different starting QB and many new starters. The comparison to last year's team is apples to oranges. The are a ton of new defensive and special teams starters too, and that takes time and experience.

But, yes, the conference has improved somewhat.

Based on what? A man crush? Liberty has never asked DR to work with what Mills has. He has no recruiting budget, no TV exposure deals, no 12K seat stadium, no locker room, no one to clean up the dog crap that sits on the 35 yard line, and a better football program from a better conference within 10 miles.

Danny is a great coach. But if/when he leaves I fully expect Jay Mills to send in a resume. He probably won't get hired, but his resume won't get thrown in the trash......unlike a certain FIFA broadcaster, who as an OC in a Coaching Football class once drew up a 9 man defense and still managed to write a play that wouldn't work against it.
