I'll admit, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. How does the Liberty football ticket thing work? I was gonna buy some tickets online. They are all $10 right? And they are all general admission? What exactly does that mean? I saw seats reserved in the GA section? What does that mean? How do I know where I'd be sitting?

What does west general admission mean and seats in the 600's?

Yes they are general admission. That is what GA means, which means you find a seat, it is yours. So be early, be loud, and wear red! ... sorry, couldn't resist.

If you get there an hour early, you'll get a good seat. I can't remember what time the gates open, maybe 1.5-2 hours before?

Unless it's JMU. Then 3 hours.

Things might have changed with the initial new stadium excitement, but you didn't need to be there an hour early to get a good GA seat. You should get there an hour early though, just because it's a good policy to have.

As a reminder, the first game at Williams Stadium will be during CFAW weekend, so keep that in mind. There will be a ton of CFAW running around and getting excited to see the game. It should help out our attendance that much more, but we'll see.

Just received this from SFC
Student Flames Club,

Buy your tickets now for the Football game at James Madison at 6:00 on Saturday, 9/25! There are a limited number of tickets for this game scheduled between your 14th-ranked Flames and the 3rd-ranked JMU Dukes. James Madison is listing the game as a sellout on their website, and we only have 1,000 tickets to sell in the Liberty section by 12:00 on Friday, 9/17, hundreds of which have already been sold. Any unsold tickets after 12:00 on Friday 9/17 will have to be returned to JMU for them to sell to their fans!

From now until Friday at 12:00 tickets are only $10 for Student Flames Club members! Any SFC members who have already purchased their ticket for the regular $22 price may visit the Vines Center Ticket Office to be credited for the difference. You can purchase your discounted SFC ticket by visiting the Vines Center Ticket Office from 9AM to 5PM, Monday thru Friday (Friday only till 12:00). You can also purchase tickets for the pre-game meal in the Flames Club Tent for $10, but the Flames Club pre-game meal (held from 4:00 to 5:30) will be limited to the first 200 who purchase those tickets.

It is a two-hour drive to JMU, and Liberty Athletics will be hosting a “Hike to Harrisonburg” event to allow students to caravan to the game in a coordinated and visible way. The caravan will meet at Doc’s Diner at 3:00 on Saturday, 9/25, and then arrive together in Harrisonburg at a special parking area for Liberty fans, in time to tailgate before the game. Every vehicle participating in the caravan will receive a gift bag with a car flag, four red Liberty shirts, and a game day music and highlight CD.

To participate in the “Hike to Harrisonburg” caravan, you will first need to purchase your game ticket and coordinate with three other LU students to ride together. You will then need to register for the caravan by e-mailing Rachael Branscome at rmbranscome@liberty.edu, and sending her the following information:

• Name of the driver
• Shirts sizes for your group (S, M, L, XL only)
• Flames Club Tent or your own tailgate?

Gift bags will be prepared and handed out at Doc’s Diner when we gather to depart at 3:00 on Saturday, 9/25. You may buy tickets to the Flames Club meal as mentioned above, or bring your own tailgate supplies and set up your own party in the area with all the Liberty fans.

They threatened to “take over our stadium” before the game last year, and we need to ensure that our Flames are well-represented and supported by our fans this year! We are confident that we would have up to 2,000 fans at this game if they could buy a ticket the week before the game or just show up on game day---But that will not be possible for this game---So buy your tickets now and help ensure an outstanding crowd of 1,000 Liberty fans in red in Harrisonburg on 9/25! Don’t let us have to return your tickets to JMU after 9/17!

Thanks for your support and Go Flames!
