from the ball state board:
This won't be well received on here, but I'm basing my prediction on how Liberty has played against FBS opponents the last couple of years, how they handled their opponent last week, and how we handled our opponent last week. We have tons of young talent, but I am extremely concerned about our secondary against their passing attack and our lack of crispness on offense last week.

Liberty 35
BSU 20

I certainly hope I put too much into last week's performance and that I'm dead wrong.

LU 26
BSU 24
Rushing yards 150
I think that was the score of the last time we beat a 1A team (E Michigan in 1989) and I think that it is realistic. I think that this Ball State team would compare with the Toledo team we lost 2 a couple of years back by 1 point and we are better now than back then. A don't expect a Marshall or Bowling Green type of meltdown that we experienced a decade ago. I have no reason to believe that we should lose to Ball State this year with what I do know.

We'd fit in as football fans, but I can promise you very few there could adhere to LU's code of conduct :D

Hey BSU fans, any game day advice/thoughts for someone making the trip?

Don't play Bonecrusher in the car while driving to the stadium. Liberty has never won a game when you listen to that song.

Get out to the stadium at least 2 or 3 hours before kick off and visit with some BSU fans - they are a friendly bunch. Make sure you have on all you LU colors and engage them. Also try and find the folks at "The Sled" which is an RV of particular reverence - very friendly folks and many who post at BSUFans.com are there and/or stop by. "The Sled" is due west of the stadium but east of Tillotson Ave. (the main street that runs N and S along the west side of the stadium). On the west side of this street is a large tail gating area right next to the baseball stadium.
I would also suggest going to Scotty's Brewhouse on the SE side of campus (the stadium is on the NW side) in an area called "The Village". It is on University Ave. just a block east of McKinley Ave. which is the main N/S route through the center of campus. You can pick up McKinnley Ave. just two blocks east of the stadium off of Bethel Ave. which is the street that runs E/W along the south side of the stadium.
I highly recommend touring the campus at least by car as it is really a beautiful campus if nothing else! Check out the Ball Brothers monument on University Ave. near Ball Hospital and the student center, David Letterman building and the brand new student health, recreation and wellness center all open to the public.

Muncie as a city leaves some to be desired. Plenty of restaurants and things to do, just not always the pretiest. Go on campus if I'm you. Of course you'll be in enemy territory, but you'll be with 20K + students and get a good environment.
