The biggest thing Peele did was let his guys start playing more up-tempo instead of forcing that slow it down, grind it out offense on a bunch of athletes. They have so much athletic talent that they should be running up and down the court but instead he made them run sets all of the time and slow the game down. Give the guy credit for finally swallowing his pride and making the adjustment.

Did you watch the championship game? They were running the same offense, just started shooting the ball a lot better. Obviously winning is the most important thing, but if I was a Winthrop fan and had to watch that offense game after game after game, year after year....... it's just an ugly brand of basketball. To each his own I guess. But with Winthrop's facilities, location and budget they could win the Big South every year and score more than 55 points per game while not forcing half of the viewers to fall asleep during games.

I didn't see the championship game, but I saw other games during their win streak. They were able to run at times. With their defense, getting 10-12 fast break points is huge.

Which is the only way I can sugar-coat that one. Looked like Winthrop from December. Guards couldn't hit anything. Andy was missing layups. Once the players got frustrated on the offensive end, then they started playing a little sloppier on defense (though UAPB just flat-out did a better job of hitting shot).

I know what the field says. 65. Play-in means, you play a game to make it in. Unless there is another definition for play-in

If you're being technical.. this game is called the Opening Round game by the NCAA, "play-in" is not an official term and is a former name.. that is if you're being technical and all..

Aside from all that, Winthrop is the first team EVER to lose twice in the Opening Round game.. and folks around here are worried about what the small gyms look like on TV in relation to the conference image.. get a clue!!

If all of our schools would play better during the year the Big South could help to stay out of this game.. so really that is a reflection of all our programs...

please...i would love to get the opportunity to play in this game...we got embarassed worse on national tv earlier this year....i know you are just trying to make yourself feel better about our own season but in turn you are just making yourself look just as bad as realist...

And no one jump on me. i admit freely that WU was underestimated as well. however, the fact that realist comes on here after every time we get smacked around on ESPN makes it just a little hard for me to turn the other cheek when it happens to his boys.
