I just saw the movie "Invictus" and Liberty needs a rugby team. We have the perfect playing surface and it could serve as a great club sport. What does everyone else think about this?
Joshua 1:9- Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Ya college rugby is headed by USA Rugby (the head of rugby for the US) not the NCAA and actually the have a 3 promotion-relegation style divisions which is something pretty crazy for college sports. It's definitely an entertaining sport to watch and play, and I could see LU having a club team like this in the future.

This has been a dream of mine for many years. I played for Blackwater Rugby(Lynchburg Club Team) while I went to LU and now I play for the Seoul Survivors here in Korea. I would love to coach an LU rugby team. I think was could be very successful and become a national powerhouse becuase of our national and international draw of students.

Title IX doesn't make equestrian or women's lacrosse any more entertaining.
Are you really that stupid?
Apparently you are too stupid to understand the concept of boredom. Explain to me how Title IX makes women's lacrosse and equestrian any more entertaining than rugby. That's the point, not women's lax being added to satisfy gender equity quotas for title IX purposes. Title IX is 100% irrelevant to whether equestrian or women's lax are better sports than rugby. Guess that went way over your head.
One thing people often forget or it gets lost in the shuffle over people arguing about dropping sports is that with Title IX is that to get in compliance you don't always have to drop or add sports. Schools can increase the # of people participating on the teams. I know I have heard of a few schools requiring sports like women's basketball, for example, to have a JV team to prevent them from having to drop or add a sport. Not only did it increase the # of people in the underrepresented sex participating, it didn't drive people mad by dropping a sport and doing it that way costs a ton less money every year compared to a new varsity level sport.
