Last I heard it's the Monday after the VMI game but I think that's changed. I don't know for sure. They're just bringing in a bulldozer. Nothing cool.


I seriously wanted them to implode it so I could stand on the other side of the stadium and watch. I knew it wouldn't happen but it'd be frickin awesome.

the issue? A good sized stadium with NO ONE in it.

Cutaway shots showed the sides about half full, and the bowl end COMPLETELY EMPTY.

thats the only danger in going from 12k to 36k.

You don't think the fact they were playing the game on a TUESDAY night had anything to do with it, did you? I don't imagine Liberty will be playing too many Tueday night games in the future.

Here in Houston, Rice has around 10k in their 70k stadium for home games. Yeah, it doesn't look good. But our fanbase has a little more going for it than those previously mentioned.

Question for SJ or anyone else that may be able to answer this. Is there going to be a final artist rendering released to the public? The current images show a 3 tier press box/suites, but it sounds like there are going to be 5 tiers? It sounds like Jeff Barber was meeting with architects today. Maybe there are some new images that we haven't seen?

I have no clue what the renderings will look like. I just know it's gonna be five stories and go from the 5 yard line to the 5 yard line. I don't know if they'll release new drawings or whatever. They never did for the scoreboard and it changed quite a bit.

your right rooster. if LCA remains the #2 seed for the playoffs they will have one more home game, and would have another if the top seed lost, so it could be a few more weeks. just to conceptualize the builing will run from 5y d line to 5 yd line and be as highor a bit higher as the light poles currently there. as everyone has said though, the designs are forever changing.

I was just looking at picture of Williams Stadium and the field and trying to visualize what this thing is going to look like. As sweet as it's going to be, it sure is going to make the home-side stands look quite wimpy. Thinking about seeing it from Candlers Mtn Rd. It's going to be pretty funny until they fill in the horseshoe lol.

Haha I don't think it will look bad. I am stoked about it, but I just think it's going to look a little out of place until they get the rest of the seating in. It's going to be real nice, but a little funny at the same time.

It will look kind of like Elon's stadium looks like. One side looking fairly nice and modern while the other side is fairly unimpressive.
