There are plenty of tickets at stubhub.com if you need some.
Thanks! I forgot all about stubhub.

I hope Liberty becomes everything Dr. Falwell dreamed it would be. However, I think you'll find too much team speed on the part of the Mountaineers to keep the game competitive. The defense should be very good and is definitely fast. The offense too is very fast, but the oline is very young. If you can somehow keep the oline confused that is probably your best hope for a win. I understand your lbs are your strength this year, so maybe keep the line off balance with various blitz packages.

Anyway, that's my take. I hope for an entertaining and injury-free game. Good luck to the Flames the rest of the season. Hopefully the selection committee will do the right thing this season.

If your going to buy tickets from a ticket web-site go to http://www.fandemon.com
Type in the code (ACCSJ) and you will recieve 5% off your order.
Here is the link for the LU game. http://tinyurl.com/noofcp
Tickets start at just $32 and face value is at $45.
Make sure you use the code (ACCSJ) and that code is good for ticket purhcases you make in the future.

Two words why we are playing WVU this year:

Danny

Rocco

http://www2.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/ ... day/19078/
Liberty coach Danny Rocco and West Virginia coach Bill Stewart have long been friends. When the two were assistant coaches in 2002 — Rocco at Virginia and Stewart at WVU — the two attended a midnight church service together in Charlotte, N.C., the site of the Continental Tire Bowl.

“Danny Rocco is a class act who comes from a great football family,” Stewart said on Monday’s Big East teleconference. “He’s a man of tremendous faith. I’m very proud to call Danny Rocco my friend.”

So as Stewart, who is in his second full season as WVU’s head coach, has assumed control over most of the scheduling matters in West Virginia’s program, he gets to pick and choose the FCS opponents the Mountaineers will face.

So, we haven’t really talked much about the game. I looked over WVU’s depth chart and their stats from last year. The first thing that jumps out to me: both of our lines are just as big if not bigger than theirs. At first glance this seems like a huge advantage, but remember how WVU plays on offense. I think our defense will be able to hold their offense in check as they have a very inexperienced O-line, going up against our experienced and talented D-line. The key here is to keep Jarrett Brown and Devine in check – obviously easier said than done. If we want to win the game our defense is going to have to hold them below 20 points.

I think we will struggle on offense. They have a good, experienced defense, and we all know how inexperienced we are on offense. We do have Mike Brown though!

I can neither confirm nor deny my time away was due to being a guest of the State!! But here is my wet blanket on the game. I will be there!! That should be depressing enough!
As for the size of their O/D lines compared to ours, that is comparing apples to oranges. The way WVU playes necessitates "leaner" linemen then the way LU or most other schools play. Case in point the Colts. Speed over size is what they are going for. And speed they have a plenty!! Both groups are young, but it is Big East/Big South. Thankfully, we are both "Big"! The check we get for this game will be awesome to say the least, and I hope we can keep the streak going of big games like this. It sure beats the heck out of scheduling two "lesser" D1 opponents (Akron, C. Florida, B. Green et al) Plus it helps our record making us only 0-1 as opposed to 0-2!
I also will add, that I was somewhat disappointed in listening to Coach Rocco speak the other day. The two things that stuck out were that he REALLY didn't want to talk about LU football. Instead he wanted to talk about HIS time at other schools. That struck me as odd. Also, he REALLY blasted the previous coaching staff. Granted, there was/were/is a lot that can be blasted, but there was certainly a lot more proefessional way to handle that then he did and has. I will chalk it up to age. He is in his first Head Coach gig and maybe some of the rough edges need to be filed down some. Here IS hoping for a great season and that we can beat those pesky Hose this year!!

I don't know when/what you heard, but since he's been here I've never heard him come across that way.

Are you talking about yesterday's presser or last week at Flames Club? As the presser, he was asked specifically about his relationship with WVU and how he nearly went there twice as a player. And he went out of his way yesterday not to blast the previous staff in regards to the Ian Childress situation. I'm just trying to figure out your context here.

I just found out that I WILL be able to watch the game on TV. Channel 8 out of Charleston/Huntington is,as of right now, going to be carrying the game.

And looks like LU is a 32 point underdog. I think they'll cover that.

Chris,
It was at neither place. THere was no specific player mentioned in regards to what I am talking about. I spoke with someone else who was there, and they said they felt his attitude was "It is all about me". Again, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt, but it did seem odd that at a non LU funtion where there were maybe 3 LU folks there and 30 non LU folks that he came across that way. IMO he passed up a GREAT opportunity to ramp/hype of the program to an audience who he rarely sees or who rarely has a chance to see him.
