Two things:
1. You know the athletic site is catching up when they can ALMOST beat a flamefans member to the internet with pics of new construction.
2. I hate to be dumb, but where are the cameras going to go that used to sit on top of the building?

I am assuming they will go on either side of the scoreboard. Maybe they will use cameras on the visitors locker room? Who knows...

I think the talk was that there is a catwalk that they will be on that'll be on top of it. I'm not 100% sure about that one though. Libertine will make me look like an idiot if I'm wrong.

And he'll enjoy every second of it.

If that's true, I am going to go ahead and not volunteer to stand up there for games. I'd puke all over the new digs.

Also, the real thing looks soooo much better than the drawings already. My guess is that later on, when we see pictures of the way the stadium looked before the board was installed, it will look naked.

Actually, neither one of these can happen. There has to be a straight on end zone shot for each team and the visiting locker room is too low. If you remember, before the FOC was built we used to have to bring in a lift for the video guys to go up on because the locker room wasn't high enough.

Have they broken ground for the new seats yet?

They haven't broken ground for new seats yet and the soccer stadium work has kind of hit a stand still as well. My guess is that it will all be ready for the opening game. They tend to wait until the last minute on these things, but always seem to sneak it in under the wire.

I walked past the stadium yesterday and lookks like the basic frame for the scoreboard is up and I gotta say, this is gonna look impressive...definitely a nice thing to show recruits when they come on visits to the school.

It's supposed to take two to three days to install completely.

no new pictures? looking forward to seeing what this thing looks like. I might be able to make the trip up to liberty this year for PC's game. As several of my friends from home are undergrads there, and another who is a grad. student. I actually went to CFAW when i was a junior in HS, i don't think i considered liberty as a school b/c for me it was just too far away, but i enjoyed my time there, and from what i remember some good scenery.

Thanks Scorcho!! Good job!

So I shot a video today (from the inside) of one panels being installed onto the board but now I have to figure out how to upload it. I'll try.

If you have 4 minutes of time and can tilt your head to the left - watch this video. It's the installation of one panel, looking out from the inside of the donor room. Turn you volume down, a couple times through the video email "arrives" hence the email notification tone - I'm such a novice  It's not exciting but my favorite part is when the panel gets really close to the window where I'm shooting. If those workers only new how close I was on the other side!! :P
