But rain delays that send people to hang out in the bar are very good for business 8)

I hit a few pretty good downpours driving up to Ohio yesterday. Probably lost about an hour slowing down to make sure I made it through

I can vouch for the accuracy of the bottom half of that map.

Could've used one of those storms today on 221 at/near Harris Tire. Huge fire with billowing smoke and flames taller than the trees. Not sure what it was, but I think Harris may have caught fire. I thought I detected burning rubber in the mix.

it was actually the building that houses the Blackwater bike shop, a tattoo parlor, and i think the Scene 3 board shop. My bro runs with FVFD and he told me it was quite the intense fire. From what I can tell all that is left of the building is the brick walls. There were no injuries that I am aware of but they did have a section of 221 closed for 3 or 4 hours.

Yeah, I read about it online. Crazy. I think I arrived at the intersection of 221 and Graves Mill right as the police were starting to redirect traffic. I was sort of hoping I would be able to drive by, but I had to turn onto Graves Mill instead.

All my years of following this stuff I've never been hit by a purple/pink on radar. Buckle up!

Pink is usually a wintry mix. I actually got held up at camp and didn't have to drive through it.

Looks like the really bad stuff passed south of us. It got VERY dark outside for a while, but otherwise only a little rain.

There were tornado warnings somewhere, not sure where, I wasn't really paying attention, but that could account for the pink spot.

There was a pretty heavy downpour for about 30 minutes or so but when I headed out about an hour ago it was partly cloudy

Based on that radar, looks like everything is headed directly north.
