For sentimental reasons, I have to go with Harbor Inn.

That, and the absolute hugeness of the meals.

Even their "lite" portions are more than I can eat.

I've never been there and I live 2 minutes away, I always thought it was a little sketchy, is it pretty good?

Harbor Inn is all about the quantity of food, but the quality is not bad. They even have crab legs.

Harbor Inn is good sparingly. Like, their best stuff is fried. But how much of that do you really want to eat? And then you get it and the portions are just so out of control. I don't know if I'd consider Twin Oaks a seafood restaurant, but I had the best rare Tuna steak I've had since my honeymoon there a few months ago so I voted that.

Get their meal for two some time :jawdropper

My FIL and I get that every time we go -- we usually have enough left over for another meal each.

I worked there my senior year. The lady that owns it was the head of the Lynchburg Democrat Party, and they all hate LU. Except that, they're all nice.

This has nothing to do with their food.

Red Lobster by default since I never ate at the other places. I really like their biscuits.

I want so badly to edit this poll to have an option that says "There is no good seafood in Lynchburg."

I have yet to find anything I've been impressed with after 12 years here.

I agree. I grew up on the Chespeake Bay and every time someone says a place has great seafood, I laugh in their faces.

+1. Try moving to Ohio. The "great seafood restaurant" around here is Long John Silver's.

I miss real crab chowder. I miss the smell of Old Bay in the air at the Inner Harbor.

I was going to post the same thing. Lynchburg could use a good seafood/steakhouse and it would do great.

One of the things that is a challenge is that to get fresh seafood it has to come in from the coast. that is why I love seafood back home. To get fresh seafood it doesnt have to travel all that far. If someone can get real fresh seafood to Lynchburg and they can open a real good quality seafood restaurant I certainly would be there once a month

Blue Marlin is Boonsboro's best kept secret. Only trouble is if you go during lunch you might have a hard time finding a table to grub at. Great selection and always have quality ahi tuna and scallops---love that place.

Old Lynchburg folks will remember 220 seafood out in Madison Heights--a much less disgusting and actually quality alternative to the filth that is Harbour Inn

Wasn't that located where the Panda House is now?

BTW, I know there are a lot of Chinese restaurants in the burg, but I'm a little surprised Panda House isn't on that list. I chow down on their buffet a couple of times a month.

Red Lobster has the greasiest fish I have ever eaten. I didn't even really know that was possible. So if you consider biscuits seafood because they're from a place called Cheddar Bay, I guess they'd get the nod over Harbor Inn.
