I've been using TwitterBerry and TweetDeck for awhile. But I just was turned on to TweetGrid. I am curious what some of you Tweetheads think of it.

I hate TweetDeck. It's a resource hog and it wastes so much screen real estate. I get that it has features that some people really need, but it's really an awful app.

On my computer I use Twhirl. It's an Adobe Air-based app but it's been the best balance of features and usability that I've found so far.

TweetGrid looks like a bit much for me.

On the iPhone I've tried a lot of clients but Tweetie is the best I've come across. I really wish there was a full-on Mac OS X version of it.

BB doesnt have a lot of good Twitter apps Twitterberry is by far the best but the way they have Twitpic set up is bad (when it even works at all)

I've been using twitterberry. I have yet to be able to get a picture uploaded to it. It just uploads as long as you'll let it and won't ever end. I'd also like something where I can do other twitter functions like click on names that I see but don't follow and also remove and add.

I guess I'll give Twhirl a, well, whirl.

Added Twhirl and I appreciate the heads up. It is much easier to work multiple accounts and it doesn't chew up my whole screen.

I use Tweetdeck and like it, though it is a resource hog. Can't leave it on very long -- I've had it going for maybe a half hour right now and it's already eating up 122,000 K. It's worse than Firefox 2 was. Other than that one drawback, I love it.

But I need something that lets me divide the people I'm following into groups, otherwise I can't keep track of everything (unless I just sit there and watch Twitter all evening, which is not an option). Tweetgrid may be an option.

I have a Firefox extension called Twitty Tunes that I use sometimes. It lets me Tweet either the song I'm listening to or the website/blog article I'm reading with one click. I've used Twhirl, and it's pretty good; just doesn't do what I want it to do.

I also use Twhirl and have been for several months. Tried TweetDeck and uninstalled it almost immediately. For my Windows Mobile phone, I use Tiny Twitter.

Just made the move from TwitterBerry to TinyTwitter. So far I like it. But I still am not convinced that this is the best we can do.

Let me know how that does. If it's better I'll make the jump.

It is quicker than Twitterberry and automatically cues up to where you last checked it. It also has more functionality including easy ReTweets. It isn't as visual as Twitterberry but I doubt I'll be switching back. I would recommend dropping off Twitterberry to add TinyTwitter unless you have plenty of memory and can run both.

The apps are what keep it from being a nightmare.

Someone please enlighten me as to the point of Twitter. There has to be something more to it than just letting the entire world know what you're thinking every five minutes.

Very true. But that doesn't answer my question. Is that all that Twitter really is?

I've been running the beta of UberTwitter, and it's pretty good. It's actually more visual than Twitterberry, because when you select a Tweet you got the avatar AND account information along with the message you selected. You can also reTweet from it, which was one problem I had with Twitterberry.
